No your analogy doesn't work for this reason...

I wasn't saying he couldn't argue what he could, just because I said so. I backed up everything I said, logically. I'm saying, based on his definition of the 'old' Eminem, or the implication of what the 'old Eminem' is - these things do not make that Eminem gone.

So, it wasn't me saying his argument is invalid because I say so. I was saying it was invalid, logically. Just like your analogy is.
