Eminem should really not listen to Stans, they will never be pleased with anything.
He should just make the music that he wants to, give a fuck what everybody else thinks, not be afraid to piss of people or not "appeal to the masses".

- Make the music you want to make. Talk about the things that you're passionate about. Those things don't have to be things in your personal life. If something's bothering you or you're happy about something going on in society, rap about it. Fans want to hear what you think about everyday things; it makes us feel more connected to you.
- Work with people who inspire you. Period. Regardless of what their names are, just work with them. If someone makes you feel that fire and helps you create a better song, do it. By the way, I think you and Tech N9ne would create amazing songs together.
- Know that your fans support and appreciate you. Through it all and whatever comes, your true fans are going to be there, and we're going to have your back.
- You've already signed two great rap acts to your label, and you should focus on building them up, but also on signing a couple more. You could really have a superstar power label if you signed the right couple artists. The label is for sure going in the right direction with Yela and Slaughterhouse signed though, so props on that. :y:
- I'd really love to hear a song where you gave your thoughts on hip hop music today. I'm not saying you have to take direct shots, but just general thoughts. A total suggestion, though. Rap about what you want to rap about. I just figure that rap's something you have a lot of thoughts on, and it'd be really easy to talk about.
- Overall, just a huge thank you for making music that I can always enjoy. Your music can get me through the hardest times and make me feel like someone understands or cheer me up when I'm feeling bad about something. That alone makes you an incredible artist. Just keep rapping as long as you have that passion for it, and as long as you feel like it's what you should be doing. Don't let anything push you out of rap before you want to be out of it. Go out like a King.

If he did listen to the fans, he'd be compromising his music in the same way he would compromise it by listening to Jimmy. I'd rather him keep staying true to himself, making the music he wants to make, than make the music I want him to make and for him to be unhappy with it. I LIKE him not listening to people, that's one reason why I love Hell: The Sequel, he sounds like he doesn't give a fuck again.

Whats the point of this thread then if he shouldn't listen to us? maybe he wants to continue making music his fans complain about and they'll never be happy.

He goes exactly where I waited him .... :y:

I will buy his albums and even if they are bad just so he continues to pay his bills, I don't want him to sleep rough... :sweating:

Em is a completely different rapper now than he was back in the MMLP/TES days. I highly doubt he goes back to doing that, because the style he's rapping with now is just so much different. He sounds like he's "spitting" now, whereas back in the day he'd sound like he was talking on the record and happened to rhyme insanely well. That's the main difference I think.

I don't know...I think he should be open to suggestions and everything, but I don't think because some of his fans don't like his new shit, that means he has to change the music HE wants to make (*cough*Relapse 2*cough*). You can tell Recovery was made to cater to his fans and the general public, and then he drops Hell: The Sequel, which sounds like he doesn't give a fuck again, like I said.

Go on a motherfucking world tour!!! Not now Em, just after all the album releases and stuff. Just said it so you think about it. Things i'm hoping you'll realise from it-

-->People still love you Em. You seem to have lost that awe and wonder of how much people feel you. Not just in detroit but around the world- it shows in your music.
-->Open your mind to world affairs. The "under this roof/ "Behind these walls" lines have a sad note of individualism. We all know you dont trust alot of people and got a close circle of friends but opening your mind to new things would put your in a better place artistically.
-->When you finally get back to Detroit, make a song for the city. Welcome to D-block/ Welcome to Detroit are near classics. A real "New York State of Mind" track or one with 8 other cats on your album.
-->LEARN TO USE A COMPUTER. Royce is addicted, thats bad. But dont let that stop ya from connecting to hot underground tracks, new music and olden classics. Its a broader way to connect to new artists than trusting Paul's taste.
--> CONTINUE rapping about music. Take from me, My Darling, Carefull what you wish for... its your passion. Remember, your Rainman.
--> The Reunion was a nice concept, but dont just touch on it on a surface level. Try get to the space you were in when you made "Stan." Think about it, write, scribble off, write again. record listen, delete and write all over again. A few awesome tracks are >>> than a lot of good ones.

Love the music bro, keep winning :king:

Agree completely, but tbh I don't think we should be giving advice and shit, maybe he's happy the way he's making the music now. I don't want him upset when he sees his Stans not liking his direction.

Eminem's music has always been a reaction to the feedback he got. SSLP was an attempt to improve on the anonymity of Infinte. MMLP was a reacion to the reaction of SSLP. Relapse was a reaction to what people wanted him to come back like.... thats what he's ALWAYS been like. That said, dunno, maybe if he sees this he'll come to Africa :D
