I guess I don't consider The Eminem Show a "classic" is because I'm not too fond of the content. "Stan", to me, will always be considered as Eminem's greatest song, and that alone just makes The Marshall Mathers LP the "classic" album.

Hmm.. take it this way: The Marshall Mathers LP is the "GOAT" album, but The Eminem Show is the "classic" album. The Slim Shady LP isn't really anything spectacular to me, so I consider it just a great album.

To be honest, I agree with you about TES. It comes SO FUCKING CLOSE to a classic, but at the end of the day, it just wasn't good enough to match the MMLP.

Now, as for Relapse and Recovery... sigh. Relapse is not as repetitive as some people make it out to be. I think it's Eminem's most fully-formed album. Recovery gets far more shtick than it deserves. It's a good album.

We don't get a whole lot of Em material, so in reality, we don't know if Em sucks NOW considering we haven't heard recent material in a while. And Throw It Up isn't a recent verse. Yes, the Cypher was sick and I think Em is gonna take its almost universal praise to heart. That is the most recent verse we've heard so far from him. Now I think it'll be this Richard song once it comes out, which will give us a better indication of where he's at musically.
