It COULD have been interesting. As long as it wasn't the same old "you're my little princess" stuff... The original song that Nas made was really good and thoughtful. It wasn't really an "ode" to his daughter, more of him talking about how his actions and behaviors have affected her and how he sees her doing all this risky stuff, but he feels partly to blame for it, even though he never meant to hurt her... Em probably doesn't want to put Hailie on blast or really reveal anything that she's doing, like about whether she's a virgin or not or if she drinks or whatever... That's the kind of stuff Nas talks about on the song.

I would imagine that's why he didn't do it. He'd basically be forced to either incriminate her, or say the exact same non-specific things he's always said, which would be boring and annoying.

Also, I read somewhere that Destiny's mom is mad about the song, lol.

You really thought Hailies Song, Mockingbird, When I'm Gone weree just 'you're my little princess' based i mean these songs touch on other elements like poverty, like marriage and why things with her mother never worked, like the good and bad sides of parenting. I'm not gonna say you just skimmed through these songs but these are songs covering many angles.
