It doesn't matter who produces the album because look what we ended up getting with Recovery. DJ Khalil and Just Blaze both didn't deliver as we had expected them to, which was a huge disappointment.

The main problem with the production for that album wasn't underperformance by big name producers, but rather the over abundance of producers in general, and the fact that Alex Da Kid happened to be one of them. Eminem doesn't need a powerhouse beat to make a great song, he just needs one that doesn't sound like shit and leaves room for him to do what he does best. Hopefully he's understood this by now.

Ideally, he will have handled most of the production himself, with some help from Dr. Dre and one or two other guys for the single.

Exactly !
I would say that the main problem is that it wasn't very cohesive.
You could hear that the beats were all produced by different producers and it was a little bit annoying imo

Interscope seems really keen to hype up Hit-Boy too. They put him on one of the biggest songs so far this year, Scream & Shout. They want him to blow up, and getting him on Em's album would certainly help. Remember, he was on Slaughterhouse's album too.

Big Boy has always been the dumbest radio host... He asked Dre 3 questions in total while holding him on air for 6 & a half mins... fucking around with his fucking employees seemed more important to him even when Dre was willing to speak about whatever. Damn it!
He didn't even ask for details about EM's project or the new stuff Dre said he's working on musically. Fuck!

"Almost done" is just him saying "don't expect a single real soon. It's coming, but don't get hyped now". It's just him not giving away false info.

The singles are released by Interscope 'cuz that's about planning & it happens after the albums are handed to them. Dre does producing & mixing, he doesn't care about planning after they hand the albums to Interscope. He said EM was finishing his album, he definitely doesn't mean anything about a single at all. Actually that's the key thing.... Dre said EM is finishing his album while he's been back in the lab doing new stuff. It can't be more complicated than that.
At least Big Boy didn't even want Dre to clarify it.

Eminem + Dr. Dre + Mr. Porter = Classic Eminem material. Keep everyone else away. I truly hope this album is in-house.

Em is in LA talking with Dre. Paul and Dre have both heard the album and it's almost done.

My prediction is the album will be announced in the second week of April. Then a single in late April or very early May. Then depending on how big the single is, it could carry through May, unless they release another single. Then the album release late June
