If it was so simple IDK why I didn't see anyone talking about it in the same matter that I did in the 10,000 posts about the song....

because everything you said is pretty redundant and blatant

either that or ppl on tr actually didn't get these simple lines

So rapping terrible lines is a way of mocking other terrible rappers? I don't see the difference between that and just being a terrible rapper. If you're gonna mock someone at least be funny/witty about it like Prince Ea

"Bring it back trick, sling shot
Young Money all up in your mouth…ring pop"

How was the song terrible? Go back to sticking your dick in your Kendrick plushie. Or has your mind changed again?

Terrible lyrics with and even more terrible, completely unlistenable sound. The song is a complete clusterfuck, with random sounds and other shit thrown everywhere. It's an absolute mess, no cohesion whatsoever.

Well, this thread is good, that theory makes sense, I enjoy Berzerk even more and Eedee's theory is also great.

No one in hip hop history, has intentionally mocked the hip hop game in a manner which could still be considered catchy enough for less-educated hip hop listeners to still think it was him trying/listenable/radio worthy.

It's funny that you bring that line up. I don't see the difference between that and Em's imitation. It's just that he's not namedropping anybody, since he thinks the audience is at least smart enough to know who he's referring to.

Terrible lyrics? How exactly were they terrible? Yeah, I'll agree with you on the fact that the song needs less shit going on, but (and this may come as a complete NOVELTY to you) IT'S A FUCKING BANGER. It's supposed to be loud as SHIT. And every sound has a purpose. For the first time in fucking years, Em released a song with creative production and a great hook. How is it not cohesive? Pray tell.

I don't give a fuck about who hates it, I love the shit. Whether you think it's terrible personally is up to you, but I enjoyed it and a lot of people are, now that they've had time to listen to it.

People need to stop suggesting 'we both set the bar low' is about rap. It's not. It's saying Odom set the bar low with Kloe, as he did with Kim.

Does this track make anyone think a recurring theme of the album will be his distaste for the degeneration of artistry in rap music? I'm getting that vibe. Like the concept of syllables explored more in depth. I would fucking love it if that turns out to be the case.

Could be more than one meaning. You never know with Em. And he might go through that route, I mean there's only so many topics he can touch on in a song, a single no less.

Yeah because Eminem's lyrics usually only have one meaning.....

I realise they often have more than one meaning, I just think that's quite clearly an instance where it's not the case.

You don't see the difference? Are you intentionally being blind? The first verse had the best lyrics on the song but it was still filled with mediocre lines and piss poor wordplay that doesn't really serve in purpose. OMG get it, it's PICKET fence. No, that's stupid. Eminem throws in random wordplay that doesn't help the song and takes away from the message, which this song had none. And don't bring this bullshit about mocking the game. It didn't go over anyone's heads it went under their heads because it was executed horribly. My Name Is was Eminem being funny and mocking the game. TRSS and WM was Eminem being funny and mocking people. This was Eminem coming with terrible, not at all thought out lines. "Plus I just showed up with a coat fresher than wet paint." Nothing about that is creative or funny. It's honestly embarrassing, especially considering that Eminem is almost/over 40 and is rapping about picking up women and turning up at a party. The first verse had decent lyrics that were ruined by the Kick it! sounds he threw in that completely destroys the verse sonically. The first half of the second verse was dull and lifeless lyrics, then the second half is him just making annoying noises the whole time and then trying to salvage it by saying he was trying to dumb it down but couldn't even though the entire song is the definition of the dumb it down. The third verse is him trying to be funny I guess? Even though his delivery/voice and the beat changes up so much and so often that it's a complete train wreck and renders the song completely unlistenable. Not to mention the lines themselves aren't funny whatsoever. The swallow line is stupid and out of place, not to mention poorly executed because one meaning is a verb and the other is a noun making it so it doesn't work both ways. Then he ends the song with possibly his worst line of all time? "This is your jam, unless you got toe jam." The chorus is catchy, I'll give you that (outside of the awkward 2013 K-Fed mention" but it's not enough to save the song considering the verses are so bad no one outside of Eminem Stans will be able to make it through them.
