I love Em. MMLP opened me up to rap when I was 14. It blew my mind. Em does it well. But ever since Encore, everything is mucky. Ever since he almost died of drug over dose, it's like it killed part of his brain. He has never rapped the same. He even said he had to relearn how to do it. It sucks, because he spends soooo much of his time perfecting the craft, but none of his recent songs reach that level of MMLP or Em Show era. Black Thought is my goat. His range is broad. His subject matter is incredible. He has everything. Story telling is off the charts. And if you want to go statistic wise, here's a little example. Just go to amazon.com and look at their albums. Most get four and a half stars out of five. Not saying amazon is some statistical holy grail. But anywhere you check the reviews or do research on the roots, you'll see they're living legends.

When people respond with ''really, black thought? lol" it's clear to me they haven't delved in depth into his material. Seriously. I've listened to most hip-hop man, and their shit is top notch.

No man, not at all. Love what you love hommie. It's my opinion. I have studied the art. I'm a rapper myself. I love the art and am just excited about Ems new release as the next man. It's all good. I ain't trying to start anything.
