I think you do not give enough credit to the audience that is listening to the music. There will always be hateful people unfortunately, and some of those people probably happen to listen to Eminem. But a good majority of his audience, is part of the most accepting generation of LGBT in the history of the United States. People are able to separate the person from a character. The same reason QT is able to use the N word in his scripts. It's not something he does in his personal life, it's something his fictional characters do in his films (side point, Eminem has also always been known as cinematic visual rapper, see Stan). And yes, there is a certain intimacy with music, but to imply that film doesn't have as much affect on people as music is a little ridiculous.
Thid was good.
Also I loved how he quoted that hilarious part from Elevator (relapse fetting love!!)
But seriously, these faggets need to listen to Recovery.
Yep but a key point is missed there...
Em is in-character but the use of Phaggit vs. QT's use of Nikk@ is different because Tarrantino is using it as incidental language in a totally fictional word.
The entire reason Eminem is using it at all is to play with the context. In interviews he keeps saying it just means asshole etc. but in reality - his lyrics show he is playing with the perception of what it does mean, to provoke people. He's ONLY doing it because he was misunderstood to begin with, and because that button exists to be pushed. It's all said within the basic context of 'am I really this or am I not? let me play the role and see if you can figure it out... '
After all this time - they STILL do not understand the playground concept that he's only fucking saying the shit to provoke them and make the rest of us, including fucking Elton, who aren't totally brain-dead, cock-sucking fucking idiots - LAUGH. Man. Whoever wrote that cunting article is such a stupid fucking cunt fuck.

Yes lol I pointed that out earlier. What a dumb ass, he is.
I have no problem with artists infuriating people. It's part of their job to rattle our cages. I believe in artistic freedom. As an artist myself, I depend on it. As long as there are forums where the infuriated and the rattled can express their displeasure, and as long as I have the freedom to take the art or leave it alone, I'll defend an artist saying whatever he feels -- even (especially?) if I don't agree with it.
My problem with Eminem is that he's an awful writer who after all these years hasn't shown an inch of artistic growth, or the slightest glimmer of the wisdom you'd hope for in an artist of his age and experience. In fact, he seems to be sliding backward emotionally and intellectually. There's some genuine talent there, but he's wasting it. He's artistically lazy.

Yeah but it's clearly intentionally supposed to be interchangeable and sound like phaggit too.
Lmfao @ that American Idol cunt at the time who said 'oh my bad, he says 'fake it' after criticizing him... the irony of him not getting Em's intent even when hearing it as Em meant, and then failing to realize it was SUPPOSED to be X but sound like Y to provoke / catch you out.
