It's really bad, lyrically.

The ideas are corny and they're all really embarrassingly executed.

He's a really bad lyricist. Though, better than some really shockingly bad modern black rappers who clearly get a pass because they're black and ''hood''.



I can't agree with this at all.. from a technical aspect Macklemore is lack luster but from a conceptual end he is a unique rapper, artist. Lyrical content wise he is more poetic lyrically and using his flow to carry it as a rap.

Macklemore deserves major props for his content, diversity, musicality and standing out while being a mainstream success.

Macklemore isn't Jay, Nas, Em or anyone like that but he is a very very above average rapper and a superior artist.
