This. I still remember the sinking feeling I got hearing the song for the first time on Shade45. After all the hype about how "dark" it was, I honestly had hope that it might be an awesome tune despite Rihanna's involvement.

Bebe Rexha described it as feeling dark and claimed it had a "moodier aesthetic " than LTWYL. I jumped to conclusions based on my musical preferences and got my hopes up.

Those woah-ooh woah -oohs are shitty terrible. There's no way around it.

I agree with Revolutionary about the verses, and I agree with everyone who said the song grew on them like crazy, but the part of Eminem's brain that says those woah-ooh woah-oohs sound good is defective.

Massively defective.

At the risk of seeming nitpicky, you can't claim something is terrible and in the next breath say that you're just expressing an opinion.
The production on The Monster, for example, isn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination. It might sound a little more "Flo-Rida" than what we're used to getting from Em and a little more pop but objectively, it's actually a well-produced beat.
I apologize, TRex and Tsizzle, if I come across as overbearing, the (excessive) use of the word on here just bothers me.

Everyone's like "I can't stand the Monster" "Way overplayed on radio" "Song sucks cus of it being overplayed" LOL I like the song, its a personal song and I love that about it. But ti's not overplayed TO ME because I don't listen to the radio! haha, so I am actually pretty excited.

Also IDK who it was but someone said "what if he did Headlights and Ri did some of the chorus" I HAD THE SAME THOUGHT! haha
