I just don't understand We Made You. NOBODY except die hard eminem fans like that song. It just wasn't enjoyable for the average person.

I don't know about America, but in the UK, a few people have said to me "Eminems rubbish.. But that We Made You is pretty catchy
"

Thats how you put up Weezy numbers these days. A hot single is a must and We Made You was terrible and got very little radio play.

Firstly you people saying 600k is a flop, in 2009, just coming out of the biggest recession since the depression, from an artist a decade in his career CRAZY.
Lil Wayne sold that because people were looking for a new hip-hop star, he came along at the right time and hit a fluke. And he was EVERYWHERE.
He got on every track possible and just did anything possible so people were overwhealmed to the point where a ton of people were calling him shit and a ton were calling him amazing.
So most people bought it to see what all the fuss was or was not about.
Whereas Em has been solidly established since 99'. There's not many people in Western society between the age of 16-mid 20's that haven't made up their mind on him. He was as big as fucking Elvis in 02.
Most people already know if they like him or not. It's also his FIFTH major release. Most artists sales decrease as years go on.
So 600k US, basically 800k worldwide at this time is brilliant.
I'm not Jimmy Iovine anyway so couldn't give a fuck about the sales of Relapse. Only the quality of the music arises my interest. And Relapse is awesome so I'm happy.

Rub in what. The fact that Wayne finally sold a million in the first week on his SIXTH studio album.
Em sold staggering amounts with MMLP, EmShow and a lot with Encore.
Why do you care about sales.
Fact is, Relapse rapes Carter III in every possible sense lyrically, conceptually and musically.
because all these black strippers always go WaYNNE!!!! oh yea dj!!!! play that shit!! pisses me off.
