honestly, I think Em wins this easily

Wow. Some of these albums should not have been chosen and some not on the list should have been chosen. Mos Def released a decent album, nothing too special though. Flo Rida doesn't deserve a spot for obvious reasons. Common's recent album was a disappointing pop-crossover. Eminem's Relapse was fucking annoying in the fact that removing the accent would have made a huge difference. Q-Tip came pretty nicely; I liked the production a lot, like his old ATCQ days.

Why isn't Raekwon and Jay-Z in there? I don't like Jay-Z's album much, but it deserves to be on there, IMO. Raekwon, without a fucking doubt, deserves to be there. Best Wu-Tang album since Supreme Clientele.

Raekwon was robbed, no doubt about it. Out of thosse albums Em wins.

I agree, Reakwon should have been nominated. His album was dope as fuck, as a matter of fact i've been bumping both Cuban Linx albums all the time in my car lately.
Of all the nominated, only two albums stands out. Relapse and The Renaissance. The Renaissance was really dope, probably 2008s best album a long with When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold.
Commons album sucked, Flo Rida is a joke, Mos Defs was tight but not all that.

yes he's nominated for 3 (Best rap album, Best solo rap performance & Best duo), Kayne got 6 & Jay-Z got 5 noms for their hit songs. Em didn't have any hit record this year so it's expected. Still better than Encore era I guess, he didn't even have any noms that time
