This, Bruno DOES kind of kill it for me. He's a great singer, but the hook is kind of...gay lol. I think it's a good song, but it's my least favorite song from the EP, without a doubt, I don't want that Eminem. I like the BME Eminem much better.

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

I beg to differ, that girl on Above the Law has a great voice, makes me think of western films when I hear that song.

The hook doesn't bother me, its just Eminem doesn't sound good on it at all. If he had redone it with a different verse I'm sure i would of liked it.

It would of been a awesome shady mainstream anthem, but it didn't work out.

I'm glad someone got enjoyment from her Tash

Total subject change lol. Who do you guys think won on Loud Noises? I think it goes...
Ortiz
Eminem
Crooked
Budden
Royce (sad but true).
Its funny to cause at the end of Royce's verse he's like "and that's how you body a beat" and I thought his verse was the worst by far.

Yeah royce was shit on loud noises, it was disappointing after he killed the whole Ep.
I liked
Budden
Crooked
Ortiz
Royce

I agree with that, and royce especially. I mean i love his verse and all but his rhymes are so hard to follow for an average listener, and this is supposed to be the song for everyone.

I'm not sure why you didn't like her, though honestly I didn't enjoy the Take From Me hook, it was that above the law one i liked. It's cause of the way she says "I dont give a shit" either way, I wish it was Dina Rae :y:

Guess she just isn't my cup of tea. I know Lighters gets so much hate for the chorus, but I like it. It's the type of shit that sounds like so many other fucking sounds you hear at parties. It gets stuck in your head, but in a good way.

And Class 2.0 IS an insult, because he's a fucking tool who only likes music that makes him cry in the darkest corners of his room filled with posters of all his favorite shitty underground white rappers.

I'm on everything has grown on me quite a lot. Weakest song on the EP, but I wouldn't take it off from it.

Ortiz
Eminem/Budden
Crooked
Royce

Joel sounded like Yela, i was so confused. But his energy on this > *
Eminem did a good job i love the chikka chikka and"blawawaaaa blawaa" lmao. Budden maybe did slightly better than Em though, Crooked didn't say nothing but words to rhyme for the sake of it and Royce.. well, it wasn't that good.

Improvements over Recovery:
More complicated rhyming (more consistent, at least; Recovery had so many verses with single-syllable rhymes)
No more choppy flow
More varied delivery (Reunion, Kiss, Lighters especially)
Great production

I think the "screaming" people are complaining about is like the accent on Relapse. First of all it's not as common as people are making it out to be - Relapse only had the accent on some songs; Em's only yelling on a select few here as well. Second, once you get over it, it's fine. The accent made a lot of Relapse songs sound great; his yelling is great here too, especially on Echo, Welcome 2 Hell and Loud Noises.

Great EP, gives me hope for future releases :y:

edit: Also, ECHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT ON THE ACTUAL EP. I don't get why they'd leave it off just because it was leaked...what difference does it make?

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Recovery's problem was, in general, poorly structured rhymes, not the rhymes themselves. I think you'll find that a very small proportion of the rhymes on the album were one-syllable. Recovery isn't Straight From The Vault.

dchen93 wrote:No more choppy flow

Choppier than it's ever been. There's absolutely nothing smooth about Take From Me.

dchen93 wrote:More varied delivery (Reunion, Kiss, Lighters especially)

Reunion and Kiss, sure. Lighters? That's the same shot-voiced bark we hear on every other song.

No, he was yelling on every single song except The Reunion and Kiss. 7/9 of the songs (9/11 if you count Echo and Living Proof). It's beyond a joke now.[/quote]

what are your thoughts on relapse and recovery?
