@MC but regardless of how many ways he described it, it was still wack.

@DA give me reasons, don't just state something like it's automatically fact. Either debate my points & show me how it's "pure dumb shit" or just leave it at we have different opinions.

He was being sarcastic but yeah I do agree with Geno though, hence why I praised the sound. The album sounded great without question.

Oh, I guess he's just picking on me because I said in one thread lyrics aren't EVERYTHING, and a few people really took it wrong, like I was saying I don't care about lyrics. I do care about lyrics, I was just saying that lyrics don't have to be INCREDIBLE for it to be good music (Kanye is a good example, great music but average lyrics to me), and I personally think the lyrics on the EP are dope, so it's all good.

chillax brizzle.

Welcome 2 hell has amazing rhyming, the punchlines are presented in a great way and they are great punchlines,Em's flow is awesome, double time yet very relaxed and clear, the beat is haunting and atmospheric, royce does good, the rhyming alone is well worth it for the track to be higher than a 6,everything else makes it a classic BME track.

im not saying its wrong to have any opinion,i honestly dont give a shit but it baffles the negro on what u think of this track only.

After listening to the ep many times it was pretty much what I expected.

I didn't expect Royce to be so terrible though. I mean I don't like him but I do admit he is not terrible. On this album that is pretty much what he was.

Eminem was predictable and the awful punchlines continued but he sounded great on this. His flow was near perfect.

The production was really great and for me the best part about the ep.

I think the best tracks were Welcome to Hell and Fast Lane. Lighters was disspointing

Amazing rhyming is the calibur of Lose Yourself, Welcome 2 Hell had good rhyming as is expected of Eminem. It was basic multies.
The way punchlines are presented = delivery, which I said was great.
The beat is my favorite on the EP which is why i'm so disappointed in the lyrics
Great flow as well.
Again you didn't explain how the punches are great you just said they are, no point getting into a debate with you though as you're not that kind of person so i'll leave it at difference of opinions.

Everyone Thank Royce for bringing back Em back to his old form! Guess all he needed was someone who can out rap him so he can actually try again.

well maybe I came of more harsh then I meant to but I thought he seemed out of place and all the tracks sounded like solo Eminem songs plus Royce seemed to be off his game wordplay wise. I dunno I just thought he wasn't good.

VenomBlackViper wrote:So i've listened to this EP countless times now. I gotta say I like it for the most part. However it does have one major flaw I gotta address: The lacking lyrics.

Now everything else on this EP was great. Great production, great hooks, great flow & great delivery. If this album was only about sound it would be great because it does sound great. However all of that is fine & dandy but the lyrics are seriously lacking for the most part. This is Relapse all over again minus the accent. They tried re creating the earlier BME & failed at it. That Die Hard line on Welcome 2 Hell was seriously horrible, I remember we had a thread about it before where we made up lines that were exactly like the line Em used. For random people on a forum to make up lines similar to if not better than one a world renowned rapper uses is just bad.

Constant shit/bitch/ho references & almost none of them witty at all. Granted he had some lines which I genuinely liked such as the Nicki one, give me head or i'ma take it, I said I CUNT!!!!, & a few others there were still a ton of bad ones in there.

Another problem I have is how Royce adds almost NOTHING to this EP besides filler. He's awkward as fuck on some tracks too like The Reunion. I saw a comment on YouTube praising his "theres 5 things you're good for, sucking a dick x5" line & I proceeded to facepalm. That line was horribly lazy & unfunny.

With all of this said though I still enjoyed the EP. Nothing classic but it's an enjoyable listen nonetheless.

Now gonna rate each track in the order that I like them:

1. The Reunion: 6/10

Closest we got to classic Shady this entire EP. Loved the "I cunt" line & thought it was pretty creative, especially for 2011 Eminem. His storytelling on this is pretty funny & reminiscent of the Shady that got me into Eminem. This would have gotten a higher score if Royce wasn't so awkward "I see my evil twin, he hugs my wife :facepalm " However I gotta give him credit for "you just used the word swagger so no" i'll admit that cracks me up.

2. Above The Law: 5.5/10

Great beat & hook here. I for one enjoyed Ems shouting on this track, it fit the beat & mood perfectly. Admittedly I kinda like that "if I hate water sprinklers I don't love the hoes" line even though it's pretty bad & not something i'd ever write. Just the way he says it I guess. Royce is completely forgettable on here as is the case with most of the EP.

3. A Kiss 5.3/10

Kinda a poor mans version of The Reunion with the same theme just not as good. Still liked it though, the Gaga line was kinda clever but not anything mindblowing. However i'm loving the reception & controversy it's getting. Royce with more try hard, awkward lines here. Already expressed my thoughts about the "sucking a dick x5" line

4. Loud Noises 5/10

Honestly not seeing the hate for this song at all. Everyone went hard as fuck here besides Budden who was mediocre. I liked Eminems squirting lemon juice in the public eye line, that was some legit creative shit. Joell was fucking insane on this song.

5. Welcome 2 Hell 4/10

This would have been number 3 if not for the HORRIBLE Eminem punchlines. The beat on this song was amazing, something I would rap over myself. However this beat was molested by the horrible, un horrorcore like lyrics in it. Such horrible punchlines as "Eat shitstains out of my underwear I don't even wear" "So cold I froze my butt off" & that Die Hard punchline that was so bad it could have been mistaken for a parody line made up on here. Royce was forgettable as usual. This song only gets a 4 due to beat, delivery & flow. Nothing else.

6. Take From Me 4/10

Right under Welcome 2 Hell. I'm glad Eminem made a song about the leaks as we all wanted & it's not even that bad really. However he didn't even really call anyone out in particular or anything & more just talked about how hard he works & all that shit. Also why was Royce on here? No one gives a fuck about his leaks.

7. Fast Lane 4/10

This song would have been better suited for Royce alone, the beat & hook are more his style than Ems. No real complaints with Royce on this one he was actually pretty good. I liked Ems give me head or i'ma take it & Nicki Minaj lines. Aside from that nothing really stands out

8. I'm On Everything 3.5/10

A song about drugs that gives me the feeling of a failed version of These Drugs or Drug Ballad. Both sides come mediocre on this song besides one good multi scheme from Eminem & you can probably guess what it is. He tried being creative with those pasta references but it mostly failed & that shit to the plate line was just :facepalm . Also i'd like to add that the hook was horrible.

9. Lighters 3/10

And now finally for the turd on the plate. While I have dislike towards this song for the hook & beat that's not my real issue here. This song achieved nothing on Eminems part. He literally rapped about NOTHING while grasping at trying to be emotional. I find it very hypocritical that he was calling out some random person for saying they quit drugs yet still do it when on the very same EP he raps about doing drugs (granted the song was mediocre too but that doesn't change the intention). Royce was better than Eminem on this track & seemed to have gotten the idea of the song. I never, ever had a problem with the screaming before but dawg cmon, why are you screaming over this beat of all things? Also cock backwards is not still cock it's kcoc & would be pronounced "ksock". To say something positive though I did kind of like the "I came with 5 9 but I feel 6 8" line.

Bonus tracks:

Not including these up there with the others but here's short ratings for both

Echo: 5/10

Great beat & hook. Pretty good lines from both Eminem & Royce this time around. Nothing that stands out as great or as horrible.

Living Proof: 3/10

Honestly this song is very forgettable to me, I hardly remember it even exists. Mediocre lines from both sides.
Wow sorry but your really harsh.

I would not give any song below a 5.

I think alot of songs are great and 8's.

Wikipedia says a punch is
A punch line is the final part of a joke, comedy sketch, or profound statement, usually the word, sentence or exchange of sentences which is intended to be funny or to provoke laughter or thought from listeners. Few punchlines are inherently funny out of context, but when a comedian sets up the premise and builds up the audience's expectations, the punch line can function as the climatic part of the act.

It seems everyone here agrees that it was FUNNY. MC pointed out that being descriptive IS creative. The WAY it was presented is an area you concede is good. So, why is it really BAD? Honestly, its hard to differentiate hate from tatse now...

Well let me put this simply then.... I didn't laugh or even find it mildly funny. Thereby it fails as a punchline for me.

It's bad because it wasn't clever at all, nor did it fit the songs tone in any way. For fucks sake we made an entire thread parodying & making fun of that line.

No I do not "hate" any lines on this EP I just think most of them are mediocre or horrible. The same way I don't hate the retarded kid in gym class when he tries shooting the ball. To hate something you have to take it personally, I don't i'm just giving my review of the EP like anyone else. Technically hate as well as love & all other emotions stem from taste & how you personally feel about something so how would you differentiate between something that originally stems from what you're differentiating it from? Also I believe it's spelled taste. Unless you happen to be talking about Royce's new BME tattoo.
