Kanye has classic hip hop records??? Kanye doesn't have classics to me, he's not good enough.

Good production with average to sub par to sometimes down right terrible lyrics. The worst rapper who gets praise on a consistent basis from people.

Nas has been consistent since Stillmatic. Stillmatic, Gods Son, Streets Disciple, Hip Hop is Dead, Untitled, Life Is Good, all were at the least good or solid albums.

Also, Under the Influence isn't even great, and look at MMLP.

Em spittin' on Drips is far far far better than Survival. And Drips actually sounds like a hip hop record at least. Survival is another rap-rock song.

Rock samples are dope....rock beats and songs on hip hop records, not so much IMO.

"Drips" sucks. People will find excuses to validate anything pre-hiatus Em did.

I disagree, I very much so like Em's verse on that song. Obie's not really terrible on it either. I guess people dislike it because of the subject?

I just love his verse on Drips, sorry but I do.

And I agree with Hage, the goalpost line sucks to me. I hate that one, as well as the achoo achieve line.

Em's Drips verse is fucking quality. And the beat and hook are badass too.

A big reason people love old Eminem is because he sounded natural and not forced when he was rapping. Now there's a lot of times today he sounds natural and not forced still. But a lot of times, it sounds forced now days. Survival though he has some dope stuff, still doesn't like Em just naturally spittin'. Idk how to really explain it.

Kanye makes music though. He bring his creativity full circle through lyrics, delivery and production, without letting one completely overshadow the other.
Sure he can be judged on posse-cuts like Mercy et al, but listen to his albums all the way through and it's clear to see why he is praised. Take Hold My Liquor for example. What appears average lyricism at face value is made shockingly poignant by the song's composition and the additional vocals of CK and Justin Vernon. His music breaches genres. It isn't limited by the tenets that uphold rap.
"Oh, he'll give us what we need.
It may not be what we want."

But anyways, I like the video for the song. In general, I quite like this song. I stopped listening to it for a while, so hearing it with the new video kinda revitalized it for me. I don't believe it'll be on the actual album, and won't believe so until I see a tracklist. If it is, that's cool I guess. But I don't see any reason why this would be on the album.

Come on, Drips is probably the worst track Em made during the TES-8Mile era.
