Here's a twist. Album is actually called Detox. Since Dre isn't gonna release his, he let Em take the title and made the beats for him.

It's gonna touch up on issues in Detroit voiced by the people (get it? D Talks) as well as illustrate the goofy sex crazed Slim Shady side - D talks.

Everything about this, except for all of the information, is true.

I've just gotten word from Em's auntie's PR's mistress that in fact the album is called HistoriE as in... 'his story' and it's a play on the MJ album "HIStory"... so it's like "HIStorE" with the backwards E and it's a chronicle of Em's rise to the top, but exaggerated in parables and psychotic stories...

Em felt that he hadn't ever really honestly approached that area @ his actual rise from broke to superstardom and had only in fact covered his life when IN the moment or in retrospect of the fame rather than that magical period which he will never forget and which kind of defined everything there after... he's actually been saving it for his final album, which this will be.

He got inspired to write about that area of his life after hearing the reaction to "Almost Famous", so he's kind of modelled the album in this vein... not sonically, but conceptually.

The songs will be more like... encapsulations of moods, as concepts, they're like fame-influenced Relapse-esque narratives wrapped in moods... Em has produced it all and the one track, which does in fact sample that "Gloomy Sunday" track is supposed to be the craziest song he has ever written, it's the song that Royce said gave him nightmares and that he doesn't know how the world will react, because it's so completely psychotic and realistic...

Em basically liked the psychopathy and detail of Relapse but the harsh realism and honesty of Recovery so he's tried to blend the two, but give it a consistent musical backing and be a little more abstract with the concepts so that he's not tied down to the same formats and predictable verses.

Em was quoted as saying "This may or may not be my best album... but it will certainly be my last; not that I'm burned out, but I just feel that it's my time to bow out and, this is how I wanna do it".

Michael Jackson rose from the dead last next week to give Em props on the concept and Bill Cosby has said he won't be doing any more of the Cosby shows, which isn't related, but you know how Cosby's white ass be - always poppin' up and shit. Also, Kanye isn't on the album. PS. I like cake.

Tbh after this whole G-Shock bs I'm kind of starting to lose my patience and care for Eminem. Obviously I would flip shit for new music, but you can only keep fans waiting for so long until they move on. Especially when other artists are releasing 4 mixtapes a year, on top of albums and singles.

I'm with you there. We expect a lot of him though, and all the little BS news inbetween doesnt help. But if he's taking his time, that could be a good thing. I really think we'll find something out for sure between today and Wednesday. I'm hoping for a single, but I'm betting on something. And I still think its completely reasonable for us to get a late Sept. release. He doesnt need 2-3 months to promote this album.
