So will this single be Eminem only or reckon it will have a feature?

I'm hoping it's just him and his own chorus/own beat too.
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone and the lights go out in that trailer park?

Just listened to it again...

Hook and prod are generic but man, his rapping/style is fucking awesome.

There is no holes or shit which is fading like with say "Not Afraid"... all those abysmal lines...

This style is just so spot-on. I do hope the album style is more of an evolution but man, the lyrics and his delivery of it all, really fucking good.

I want Get You Mad like track for his first single, Just to piss the haters off :D
"There's darkness closing in, here it comes again
It controls my pen, that ain't me, it's my evil twin
(I step out and see my evil twin, he gives me an evil grin)
He's just a friend who pops up now and again
So don't blame me, blame him, my evil twin
(I step out and see my evil twin, he gives me an evil grin)"

:y:

I'm in love with this song, I'm still bumping it like mad crazy and not getting tired of it. His lyrics are just so spot-on and great. No bad lines at all. This is the Em we've been waiting for, essentially. I do hope he goes beyond this and has even better tracks on the album. I'm sure he does, WBD was released before the album and it's like among the worst Recovery songs...if this is the first song he's showing us then I'm ecstatic about how the rest of them will sound.

I think I'm pretty versatile as a fan and I'm not much of a hater unless it's really bad...and I'm mature enough that if I don't like a certain track I'll say I'm not feeling it and go into hibernation from this forum like last year

I'm also older than most people on here (25) and I'm sure if I was 16 again I would certainly feel different and probably not like Not Afraid at all...I'm not that rebellious teen anymore and I like my life so I enjoy more commercial sounding songs about success and motivation...certainly more than I used to

If you're 25 then that makes tons of sense. I'm 23 though and I'm still going through that rebellious stage. You must have matured way quicker than I am. :coffee:

24 and I feel pretty much the same as slimsoxshady!

Admittedly I can't bring myself to like Lil Wayne though!

Lol it's ok I've been a Weezy fan since Eminem fell off after Encore so even if I don't like his most recent work as much as Drought 3 and Dedication 2 and such, I'm still gonna be a fan

There was 3 rappers I turned to when Eminem fell off: Tech N9ne, Chamillionaire, and Wayne...I'm always gonna be a fan of them

You don't want Eminem going hard? Huh?

Eminem's idea of going 'hard' is screaming and corny punchlines, pacing his bars awkwardly and not structuring a single fucking rhyme so we can actually see that he can still rhyme, I much rather prefer a calm Eminem...

I'm over here screaming Underground... Perfect flow for what we need
I'm still hungry as fuck, but can't even say bon appetit

I thought the hook was a bright spot on Underground...the verses sounded cool at first but now seem very forced when I re listen once in a while

I'm not a fan of the talking kinda flow tbh

I'm 23 but my "rebellious stage" only comes out when I listen to a good Em track, but not just a good one....a Shady one. For example "Bad Influence", "Off The Wall", "Stir Crazy", "Words are Weapons", those kind of song's...pure Shady rapid fire, other than that I'm passed it.

I have no idea what to expect, I just know that for me, the 1st single to sound like one of the ones I have listed would be perfect. I don't mind "Not Afraid", but it's just to....popish for me, popish may be the wrong word but it just doesn't sound like a song that Eminem would ever do. It's just a really watered down version of something like "Lose Yourself", uplifting motivational song. Although I have no idea the state of mind he was in when he came back after the 4-5 years he was gone. It's hard to tell if it was label pressure for him to do it or if it was actually his choice.

To OP- I really like "Survival", although it's no classic Em track, it's still better than 90% of what he has put out since his comeback. But saying that, I still really like most of what he has put out. If "Survival" if nothing compared to whats coming, I expect a classic and am very hyped. He went to please the masses and did some random features to get his name back out there in bold lettering and now he is coming back to scoop up his core fan base.
If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, would you capture it? Or just let it slip?

What is Porter supposed to say? Didn't they also say they don't know how people would perceive the album? I'm pretty sure it's just gonna be pop tracks like Survival.

After hearing Survival again I doubt the album will be any different.

You guys honestly expect Porter or Royce or whoever is in Em's little circle to say the album is shit? Of course not, it's their jobs to say it's the great to hype people up into buying the album.

Fuck, this album could be Encore 2.0 and you'll hear these people saying "survival is nothing juss watch guise this album is awsome!!"

Probably I'm wrong, but I'll just wait till the album actually comes out and hear it for myself instead of relying on these people.
