Ill use headlights as an example.

Verse 1, Perfect Cadence Bar: "And I was the man of the house, the oldest, so my shoulders carried the weight of the load"

Verse 2, Half Cadence: "That song I no longer play at shows and I cringe every time it's on the radio"

He's trying his hardest to make the rhymes more obvious, which is annoying as hell.

The album isn't "too lyrical" at all...if you listened to any of his previous albums, you're witnessing the same "lyrical" skill.

The reason most of the "lyrical heavy" songs are considered the least favorite is because those are the songs where his flow has gone to shit.

kkaniff wrote:So...what you're saying is;
-Em uses a choppy flow in some of his songs
-In other songs on the same album, his flow is smooth as fuck
-Somehow this is an indication that he can't flow like he used to, instead of the fact that he chooses not to.
....
If Eminem thinks his choppy flow suits certain songs, why the hell do you (random internet poster) and some other rappers whom I've never heard of before in my wildly eventful life think otherwise. No offence.

Because Eminem has lost his fucking marbles?!

The only people I've seen complain are critics. Most people are loving the album tbh

I know five people in real life that have listened to this album.

The responses?

"I don't know man, it's just, I was expecting some Who Knew type stuff man. You can't tell me this is a good album."

"I can't get in to MMLP2 man...I don't know why. The lyrics are great but I just can't get into it."

"I hate how Em is trying to sound like his old self. He used to flow great and now it just ain't that good. His lyrics are alright. He should have quit after Recovery."

"I can't stand his voice."

And the fifth person really likes it, but he is a really big Eminem fan so..
