Overall a prefer Em an think he's better, but jay z's blueprint 3 is better then relapse in my opinion.(wait for relapse 2 tho :shifty: )

The Blueprint 3 Better than Relapse? Hahahaha.

BP3 is AWFUL. it's Jay-z's Encore. Relapse has several good songs and a couple great songs, BP3 is shit.

If you thought the Blueprint 3 was Jay-Z's Encore, you certainly don't listen to Hov much.

it doesn't really take a google search to figure out he was well-educated. he named himself after an Italian philosopher & rapped about poets in his songs.

i was just re-iterating that tupac was more of a poet than a rapper, especially in the Makavelli days.

as for nobody asking me? i don't give a shit. i didn't ask you to be a haughty piece of shit, but you went ahead & did it.

let's keep in mind that a lot of the stuff YOU know about tupac shakur - the shit that wasn't mentioned in his songs or interviews - has come from the internet.

Lol haughty. More poet then a rapper? which poet goes around saying fuck the police, this motherfucking life I lead as an outlaw, thug for life, fuck the world? That ain't poetry homie that's rap. Your probably confused because he does make poetry like tracks, but what you don't get is that it's Hip Hop and its in nature of a rapper to address subjects he gets touched by.

how is it not poetry? poetry has a very flexible definition. tupac used metaphors, figurative language, irony, wordplay. tupac's work is in the syllabus for some poetry courses @ university.

oh, & what is rap again? oh that's right, rhythm & poetry.

Exactly, and that's why its called RAP and thats why 2pac is a RAPPER not a poet. Now if other rappers didn't kick that poetry shit then maybe I would of been willing to exaggerate and be like "oh 2pac is more of a poet then a rapper because the only other rapper that does that is...um every good rap song". Lol Nas's poetry > 2pac's poetry anyways.

I just recently really got into Jay's music, don't know why I never really liked him before, but now I'm bumping his shit like crazy. Gotta say I love a lot of his tracks.
But Eminem is much better in my eyes.

Both are crazy good though... :y:

Let's put it this way. Thanks to the internet, 2Pac is now officially overrated as a whole, but he's still a legend, mm? Rap is a form of poetry, by the way...

I listen to plenty of Jay-z...

Blueprint 3 is completely a piece of crap. The only track that was ok was "Thank You". The rest have disgusting beats and little rhyming, and unbelievably stupid content. "Shawty get it in...."

lol, wtf?

Really, what was good about it?

It wasn't exactly a fantastic record, but really, it was more solid than I expected. Empire State of Mind is one the dopest hip hop records I've heard in a while. :y:

Nah, Relapse beat the Blueprint 3, in my opinion, but just the intro track to It Takes A Nation to Hold Us Back kills every single track on both albums.
