I just hope he knows what he is doing i.e. spitting wack verses just for the fuck of it (to build the buzz, make new fans etc so that he doesn't have to compromise shit on his album). Still not an excuse but we atleast can stay hopeful that he'll bring his A game on his LP.
Worst case scenario: He thinks these verses are lyrical gems and will continue with the style.

The only ones he has worked with are Bruno Mars, Pink and Rihanna. Bruno Mars has a great voice, Rihanna is heavily involved in the Hip-Hop world and Em's always had respect for Pink.

It's him choosing not to rap about certain things...I do kinda agree that he's ran out of things to rap about though so I guess that's why he's rapping about bath salts and shit. He could still cover many subjects but as far as his life is concerned I think he's all good on that front so we're not getting many serious verses.
