The Bass Brothers and Eminem need to work together again, but I believe something occurred between the two parties since The Eminem Show?

This :y: I actually went on a Facebook page for the Bass Brothers a long time ago and begged them to produce for Em. Imagine if they came back man :flutter: I really think THAT would push this album into his catalog of classics, I have no doubts that he can bring it lyrically.[/quote]

Eminem needs to make an album in which he produces every beat. I believe if he really dug deep and spent a lot of time, he could create one of the most cohesive albums in hip hop history. His production really speaks to his lyrics and flow and style (ex. Sing For the Moment, Lose Yourself, etc.). I want a hip hop album so cohesive that I can put the entire album into one audio file and listen to it all the way through. I'm talking an audio clip that is like an hour or so long and that flows so well that it feels like one long legendary song - like a dramatic and beautiful novel through music. I think that can only be really achieved if the artist produces the beats and writes everything for the album. Imagine an album where all the credits are Marshall Mathers. That would be dope for a concept album imo.

*Sighs wearily* Stop. You make my hopes too high. As much as we would all love to see this happen...I don`t forsee it. :'( One can hope of course but I dunno know. He seems more interested in reaching out to other producers and going for new sounds rather than trusting his own beatmaking. Ridiculous really, seeing as I firmly believe if Em wanted to, he could do what you said but for some reason he just doesn`t. We`ll just have to Trust Shady I suppose.

But, that's around the time Em started to peak, really unfair to judge. Dre beats knock like no other beats.

Ive been hoping for a rap album in similar vein to Jethro Tulls Progressive rock masterpiece Thick as a Brick.
44 minutes long. 1 song. Its a massive story ebbing and flowing, morphing into different pieces throughout.
I imagined this in a hip hop album and it could really work, it would be an original piece in rap/hip hop and would sound epic in scope. Rap God you could say is an epic/progressive rap song as there are different flows etc but i want a whole damn album.

I don't know if I want to listen to it once it's out
Maybe I should wait for Nov. 5th since I won't listen to the leak, and have more fresh content
This will be an official release though, so I don't know

About the song, I think it will be fire
A nice hook from Rihanna in a much darker track than LTWYL

It would be great to have something as powerful as Stan as a single this time around
Do you think they would put it out before the album if that was the case though?

Didn't Em and Dre basically produce all of Encore??? And we saw how that turned out.

In the end, it comes down to beat selection, and Em may have lost his ear for that as of late, IMO.

Not really. I highly doubt Em would release his best song before the album drops. I think Headlights could be the highlight of the album, much like Stan.

Considering the marketing has been kind of a clusterfuck and not pointed in any clear direction, I think it's entirely possible. I mean, why did they drop a track as dope as Rap God before the album? Something like that would usually be saved for an album track, so who knows. As secretive as Em's team is, I don't have a fucking clue what Paul is planning.

I know I'm about to sound like an Em hater......but I really feel Rap God would have worked better as a pre album freestyle type of thing like Despicable.

Don't get me wrong, it's good. But I'm praying to god it's not what the rest of the album, or even half of it, sounds like.

I could do without about 30 seconds of the song, and could take or leave another 30 seconds IMO.

It's a solid song to me, which is getting overrated by stans. I rate it like a 7/10. The flow and delivery, wordplay, is top notch. Beat.....ehhhhh dope piano and bass line, HORRIBLE synths and sirens. Chorus.....meh. The content, good at some points, just okay at a lot of points, and just random at many points.

Nobody does, but I don't think they would put out the best song of the album and leave that and Rap God out of the release day impact

Yeah, me too

You didn't lol
I was thinking about that and I agree, Rap God would be the best pre album hype track possible to Em
But at the end of the day, if it's album worthy material like it is, why not placing it on the album, right?
