No you need not because nothing there is close to anything Em says.

"Simple as ABC's, skip over the D's and rock the microphone with E's" is better alone.

But then you showed a lot of basic introspection with empty rhyming, trying to claw at philosophy and meaning but it's pretty shallow stuff IMO.

Where as...

"If I could take the rage of today's youth and bottle it, crush the glass with my bare hands and swallow it and spit it back in the faces of you racists and hypocrites who think the same shit but don't say shit!"

Is more poetic, subversive, substantial, beautiful, powerful, compelling and of the times than anything I've ever heard or will be likely to hear Joe Budden say.

Eminem speaks, connects with, laughs with, in-jokes with and challenges the listener.

Joe Budden comes out with basic introspection, face-value, poor-man's philosophy and some clever punchlines. Eminem comes out with zeitgeist changing lyrics. He defined an entire era, changed an era. Joe Budden can't do that. He just isn't on Em's level.

I think it's very easy for fan's of Budden who's now coming up and Em who's already had that moment to say he is. But I don't see how you can say Joe fucking Budden, a basic flower / rhymer and occasionally above-par punchline artist is on the same page as the man who shattered ears on "Renegade", "Sing for the Moment", "Fight Music" etc.

@Relapse.LP No I actually didn't get out any metaphors.

Just a response to him on some different stuff. Not addressed to you.

So if you've got nothing useful to contribute why don't you keep your stupid fucking mouth shut. Me and Zu are actually having a discussion.

As unlike you he seems able to progress and back-and-forth as apposed to just trying to stir it up. You waster.

---

@Coleon - Yes agreed, all of his metaphors are basically from Infinite and 97-99.

This is because he was spitting then non-stop to try and impress. All he had was battle lyrics.

But as he progressed as a lyricist, he progressed as a songwriter and quite clearly avoided that type of writing, reserved it for freestyles.

He's been admittedly very literal for quite a while. He hasn't used straight up one-liner metaphors for a long time.

But I don't think he'd need them to kill Budden and co. on a track. Even... "Revelation" style lyricism would outshine them. His subversive attitude and ironic punchlines sound amazing.

Yes and hip-hop is lyricism. And in what language are they exercising lyricism? English.

And I'm sure most would agree hip-hop is born out of competition. It's a competition of the smart-ass and since we're talking about punchlines, that's entirely what it is.

And since they're speaking English and it's about who can be the biggest smart-ass with the English language.

An English contest is exactly what it is. Think before you type, you may look foolish less often. :coffee:

PS. Another pathetic stan resort? after all that. Man, you really are desperate. Don't bother saying you're just doing it to get at me either as it doesn't do that. It just makes you look lame. Sheep. Baa.

Again, you fail to notice the creativity Joey has in his lyrics. He brought punchlines to a new level, if you don't follow the news, most likely you won't get 30% of his punches. Joe Budden plays with words on a new level, he manages to make you drop your jaw after listening to a song for the 20th time, because his lyrics are that complex. His similes and metaphors are way beyond Em's level.

Joe Budden plays with words in a different way, whereas Eminem mainly just focuses on rhyme schemes and flows. He only has like 7 good punchlines, against an arsenal of a million good Joe Budden punchlines.

Coleon no it's simply not that simple.

YOU think that metaphors are Eminem's weakest point where as many will argue that's his strongest. Budden's metaphors don't compare. But that's my opinion and I have my reasons for my opinion. I'm not as arrogant as you as to say "Coleon, you're wrong, it's simple, Em is the best".

For all of you who claim I'm the arrogant one here, I think fucking not. As you can see from that statement from Coleon and my response. I regard my placing of Em's metaphors above Budden's as an opinion with reasons. You regard Budden's against Em's as a fact that I'm not accepting.

Defition of bigotry is your attitude right there.

Coleon wrote:lmao okay pwn

EB you're the biggest bigot here

Okay could you please back up your claim because from where I'm sitting the irony is fucking ridiculous. Lets take a look here okay. I think Eminem's metaphors are better than Joe Budden's, you think visa-versa.

I state my reasons for my standpoint but state it's my opinion and don't say it's a fact. That is NOT bigotry. That's fair, opinion. You however, say that it's a fact that Budden's are the best and that I'm simply wrong. Your own words "it's that simple". And you have the sheer audacity to call me the bigot!

Do you even know what that fucking word means. You are the one saying your opinion - and that's what it is, opinion, it's subjective - is fact and that I'm simply wrong. That's bigotry, I'm not doing that, you are, therefore you are... the... fucking... bigot. Please refute this if you can as this is the true situation and I'm not misrepresenting it, we can even go back and check quotes.

Arguing strongly for something does not equal bigot. Me endlessly defending Eminem or constantly stating reasons why I think he's better doesn't make me a bigot. That's called debate. And what I'm always doing is stating opinion.

Oh and I also have the right to call your standpoint ridiculous and argue back. But unlike you, I don't act a bigot and say my opinion is the right one and that's simple fact.

So don't use big words when you obviously don't know their meanings. Dick head.
