The production was unique and amazing (unlike fucking Khalil on this track). It also had songs with a real message, like New Slaves and Black Skinhead (inb4romans). Most importantly Kanye changed his style up yet again and tried something new and it was refreshing.

I don't really find anything new or refreshing about this song at all. I will argue all day long that New Slaves > Survival. Come at me bro.

People were saying Em was slacking off doing Numb, CLMR, HCTW and just fucking around. He drops this and says he's back, he's hungry, he's not fucking around, he can adapt, etc. I feel it had a message.

If he dropped an amazing track without saying the words "I'm hungry, I'm back" etc it would have got that point across far more effectively. Realistically anyone can say that shit, not everyone can back it up with genuinely amazing tracks.

But you have to remember the song was also for the Call of Duty. It was a promotional track for it. Basically it's gotta pump you up. He did that. 3 verses are being aggressively "back". I'm okay with the concept and how he came across in it. Take the track for what it is. A pump-up promotional track for a war game.

And with Porter's tweets, doesn't look like it's even on the album, maybe a bonus.

He has actual pump up songs with a real and clear message. Go listen to Lose Yourself or Til I Collapse and tell me another song on that level wouldn't shit on this song..
