Honestly, I never understood why people like songs about rape and serial murders... I mean, it's fiction, obviously, but why would you make a song about that? And why would you listen to it? Gangsta rap is much less violent than those Eminem songs... Encouraging youths to rape women. I know that isn't Eminem's objective, but some people might find solace in those Eminem songs. Which is fucked up to say the least. #EndRant

And sorry for going off topic.

Substance is when you babble about nothing, random shit. SWA has a concept so yeah it does have much substance.

^Substance = meaningful. What is so meaningful about SWA?

O.o yeah and he was encouraging youths to kill themselves and such years ago, yeah? It's fiction. That's like saying any crime author is encouraging youths to become murderers. Neither are for children, and neither should be listened to by children. The subject in the song is obviously gonna be down to opinion whether it's good or not, I personally don't really like the serial killer stuff, but it's ridiculous to say he's encouraging people to rape and kill.

If people are going to kill/rape someone, then they're gonna do it off their own accord, not because a rapper wrote about it.

When I was younger, I played this awesome ninja game once & that inspired me grab my older bro's katana, go next door & hack my neighbours cat into meaty chunks, then proceeded to murder the entire family... while they were sleeping.

What a day that was. :flutter:

Yes I can, even if it isn't Em's objective it's still ridiculous to criticize something because it's 'morally' wrong when it's a piece of fiction. If you don't like the substance of SWA, then I agree with you, I'm not a fan of it myself. But I'm not gonna question why people find it entertaining, since it's different tastes for different people. There are 'torture porn' movies, like Saw, which I can't stand and don't see the point in, but it's ridiculous to think that they could encourage people to do what's in the movie. If someone wants to do something, they'll do it. If they're over the age of what's needed to be reading/watching/listening to the thing then they are responsible enough for themselves. And I'd much rather listen to serial killer songs than Gangster ones, just saying.
