:y:

there are glimpses (certain songs) of the eminem we wanna see. in order to sell he has to appeal to his real fans as well. but for the most part class is right

What? How did I prove your point, exactly? I said Eminem GENUINELY thinks Wayne is dope, sales have nothing to do with it. Wayne didn't sell Recovery, Em sold Recovery, with some help from Rihanna, I admit. But Rihanna wasn't put on the album TO SELL the album, because Em really wanted to work with Rihanna too. See, you gotta think about someone's intentions. Em never INTENDED for Recovery to be as popular as it is, that's just what ended up happening

I have not proven your point at all. Putting these artists on his songs DOES NOT make him a sell-out. I don't care what you say, but an artist's name being on a song shouldn't affect the way you listen to it (unless they are bad, of course, which is all up to personal opinion and not actual fact)

So you don't think rapping with G rap

to rapping with

is selling out? Well I'll be

how can you know exactly what em thinks?

We can't know what he thinks, but Em has stated that he thinks Wayne is dope and he loves working with him. Not for sales, but for the music. And, Em has also said he wanted Rihanna on the album. The label doesn't have total control of what he puts out, just look at Relapse. Relapse is damn near unmarketable because of it's content, yet it still managed to sell a shitload (I'm NOT bashing Relapse, by the way, but from a business standpoint, if anyone but Em put out Relapse it wouldn't have gotten nearly any recognition)

We just have to take his word for it, but he has stated that he genuinely wanted Rihanna on the album, and the fact that he worked with Wayne is because he likes it. Not because of sales or his labels

and from a business standpoint... did it really matter what em put out after 5 years of nothing? wasn't everyone curious about what it'd be like anyway?.... recovery had to be mainstream to sell as much because relapse disappointed that mainstream audience

How the fuck am I naive? All I said was Em is NOT a sell out for COLLABORATING with these artists. Jesus fucking Christ. You can call him a sell out for any other thing, fine then, whatever, that's your fucking opinion, but collaborating with Wayne and Rihanna doesn't make someone a sell out. If Sadistik collaborated with Wayne, what would you do? Call him a sell out too? GTFO, that's the whole point I've been trying to make, but everyone keeps wanting to be faggots about it. Fuck this fucking thread, I'm done with this dumb ass argument

@whiteamerica: You're fucking stupid for someone who has their username as one of my favorite Eminem songs. Really, that was the dumbest response you could have come up with. No, I've never said I liked someone that I didn't because not everyone is fucking fake like that. If I don't like someone, I don't hide it

No because Sadistik would be doing it to get more fans, so that more people can hear his music. Eminem already has all the fans in the world, he doesn't need to collab with Lil Wayne for that.

No, I don't really care as long as the music's good. Seeing an artist's name DOES NOT AFFECT the way I look at the song, like I keep on stressing

Now that I've answered you, I'm done with this thread
