"Yeah dude I understand that, I think that myself."

So why are you bringing it up again like I didn't answer you? Fuck, you're annoying as shit.

I was just pointing out that I brought up the same thing, said nothing about you.

Dropping it, does anyone else think that an album with shouting & accented tracks would be better than Relapse/Recovery? a good mix, I mean

OK :b:

Master Chief wrote:He's talking about the post-Recovery shouting which is kinda pointless. The only shouting on H:TS was in Above The Law and Living Proof.

Notice the italization because people seem to not know what shouting really is.

It's a thin line though... like I already discussed with someone, he is sort of on the verge of shouting in Fast Lane. And OK, I'm happy to concede that he isn't fully shouting on there, like he is on his "Romans Revenge" verses for example, but he is still rapping in an aggressive tone that isn't far of his "shouting" levels. And this still doesn't sound good to me; it's still annoying. There's still a huge difference between his voice on that and what would be referred to as his "normal" voice. And he has this "nearly shouting" voice on "I'm On Everything", among others on the EP.... he treads a thin line between almost shouting and shouting - both of which are annoying.

Plus there's other instances besides Above The Law and Living Proof on the EP where he's definitely shouting. He's shouting on most of Echo. In "A Kiss" there's a few shouting lines... "but why do you think they call it boo, yea cuz the sound of it's supposed to scare you!" and the same goes for parts of his verse on "Loud Noises".

Both are good to me :smoking: I always figured the "shouting" was just a raised tone and the reason it seems so "annoying" to some is because it's just that one vocal. He isn't layering like he used to so it sounds more thin and stands out to everyone now. He's always shouted. As for the accent, never bothered me. Makes it better for me to rap along because the lyrics just roll along :)

Edit: in exception there are a few songs he does actually shout In, but it seems like everyone gets passed those songs like it wasn't so lol

No! That just wouldn't work. The accents made no sense, it was ridiculous! If it weren't for the great rhyming and beats that makes the songs listenable they would all be awful. They were good in spite of the accents, not because of the accents.

I'm so happy he's dropped that shit, it would be so old by now. And the rest of the world would be like :confusion:

And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,

Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

I agree with that but OK, what bout this...He stays how he is turns it down or w/e basically just keeps doin what he's doin, but instead he does like he did sometimes on H:TS and brings in an accent. Not for too long you know, and plus it doesn't sound like it did on Relapse. It'd be just giving his voice more variation. I mean, TES Eminem had more variation, right? And plus it would only come when it was appropriate(i.e. NEVER in an emotional type-song or line)

Yeah, he used to do that in all his songs. Just those funny voices when he was taking the role of different characters in the story? Voice acting really. At the moment it is fairly monotonous. So yeah I would like that. But the accents weren't like that - nobody in the history of mankind has spoken like that in real life - and they were throughout whole songs. Not that I hate them, but jus' sayin' they always had a short shelf life.

That would be the worst thing Em could do. I'd rather have a thousand more shouting songs than that. :o Em's singing only sounds good when they edit the hell out of it.

Of course I definitely don't want to hear them all the way through songs but I don't hate 'em. But, when you think about it, Eminem now adays doesn't sound that much different that TES Eminem, his voice I mean. All he needs to do is as you said do more voice acting for characters like he used to. And even more so changing his voice depending on how he feels about what he's saying instead of sounding exactly the same no matter what he's saying in the song.
