A verse, or song doesn't have to have a crazy story like Stan, non-stop multies, or 500 punches to be lyrical, you idiot. Crooked I hardly ever has a good storytelling song but all of his songs have sick multis and good punches. Don't imply that I dunno what lyrical hip hop is. I breathe hip hop, I'm a musician myself, believe me, it doesn't have to be over the top to be sick.
I would say, yes, a song has to have more than just multis to be real lyrical. It'll still be good, but it has to have punches and good storytelling as well.
You aren't a musician, you're a subpar netcee. I didn't imply you don't know what lyrical hip hop is, I said that if you think multies = good lyrics, you think stupidly. Crooked I is far from a good defense of what lyrical hip hop is. Once you learn how to string together multies, you can do what Crook can do. He just has a good delivery and rhythm, neither of which have to do with lyrics.
Crooked I isn't one of the best rappers in the game, but maybe I didn't get my point across as best as I should have, because what I meant was, that he was good, and better than most, even though that's not saying much considering the state of hip hop right now. And oh really? I'm not gonna get in a stupid, unnecessary argument with you over something and someone you don't even know, but let me inform you a bit.
01. I am a musician. I've been rapping for over 10 years, performing for 2 years, and making beats for the same amount of time as the latter. How does that not make me a musician, you fuckin prick? Before you judge me, get to know me first.
02. You don't even know me, and you're assuming what I do or don't do.
Not to mention the fact that you insulted me for no reason.

TRSS fucking shits on this in every category, how can you even begin to debate that?

finally...these ppl are delusional
But you liking a crappy song such as No Love isn't? I'll admit, even though I mostly prefer lyrical songs, from lyrical rappers- Em, Big, Jay, Nas, Rakim, etc. I still like some of the club shit here and there like the next guy, but what annoys me is Em finally switches his formula in a way- in another way he doesn't because he's still spoofing celebs, doesn't do a popular track, which btw, hardly anyone wants, maybe except for you, and still gets hate. I can understand if anyone doesn't like the song just because they don't like it, but if you don't like it- this is to anyone btw - because it's different and/or not pop, shame on you.
I agree with people that it's tough to hear/understand, but like someone so perfectly mentioned here a few minutes ago, it's a perfect '90s track. I love it, but I can see why people wouldn't.
