But listen to his tracks starting from when he was like 18/19, and then a track from every couple subsequent years. his voice changes more than anyone I've heard, constantly deeper. Jay-Z sounds pretty much the same, Reasonable Doubt-BIII. I know everyone's voice deepens a lil, but damn, he's gonna be freakin Rick Ross by the time he's in his 60s.

Yeah, I always wondered how it could change so much.

He's accumulated damage from all the shout-rapping. Plus, he refuses to take a break and never lets his voice recover.

And his speaking voice is NOT the same as it always was. Go back and listen to his interviews during the SSLP days...night and day.

1. People don't have the same voice for 15 years, people do mature in that aspect, from a young adult to an adult &

2. Around 1998-2001ish, mostly 1998-2000 in the SSLP era he purposely made his voice and delivery very nasily because he was getting complaints from tracks on Infinite that he sounded like, and/or was trying to sound like Nas & AZ, so that's why he switched over to his own style, even though many people had that style back then and he really wasn't biting Nas' or AZ's style at that moment.

Then he turned to his normal speaking voice, but with anger, like on tracks like Kim, etc. and played around with other flows like on Bitch Please, and now he's in the era where he's back to his normal voice again after the Relapse era where all he did was accent after accent- British, English, etc. and now it's just the yelling, it's just what he decides to do now for the most part.

No, he changes it on purpose.
He's talked about how he doesn't know why he used to use that nasally voice.

He had a voice coach at the beginning of his career which is why his voice changed so much from SSLP to TES.

I hate it when people say stuff like that, and dimiss the "Re-Up era"

I loved his voice around that time period. I even liked his voice on Pistol Poppin'

10000x better than his shitty 'accent' and childish/puerile bullshit on Relapse

no he doesn´t..his voice is much deeper now, can be seen in any interview...

compare this voice:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKaN8HwO7AI

with this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KoAgYSbn4U

I don´t know the reason..some people say it's because of yelling,I also heard that his voice changed after drug abuse (I don´t think so, the drugs don´t affect the voice :facepalm ) his older now ,but I got a cousin of his age and and he talks the same like 8 ago...so I don´t know...

either way,I like more the new voice, is more sexy :flutter:

don´t confuse the normal voice, with the accents..
when i say that I like more his actual voice,I don´t mean that I like the accents of relapse.Accents is something that he does on purpose.I mean that I like the tone of his voice now better than before..

What a dumb thread.

It's something called maturity and aging. Does your voice sound the exact same that it did 10 years ago? No.

not so dumb..
obviously the voice changes with age, what is not normal is that the voice changed so much since the age of 30 to 38...
if you look at other rappers or singers of the same age their voices has not changed so much..

obviously if you have 20 years your voice will not be the same as with 10..but between 38 and 30 there is often little difference

Every one is different. Yelling, stress, smoking.. so many things can contribute to a dramatic voice change. It's not even that bad lol. I think it's due to age. But Super Stans always want more of an explanation or read too far into things.

Actually I think Eminem had a new larynx installed after The Eminem Show. :coffee:
