Obie Trice was a great signing back in the days but I'm not sure he has much left in him anymore (he even admitted this himself). Personally I think he has had his run and Shady Records should move on to someone fresh that has something new to contribute with (I'm still thankful for the signing of Yelawolf).

If we're talking about signing artists from Detroit, he should definitely consider bringing in The Left and Black Milk. Some of the most talented, young guys in hip hop right now.

He is not from Detroit but signing Jon Connor would be a another great contribution to hip hop as it is now. I've heard a billion albums in my life but he still manages to blow my mind with his skills. There was even rumours about this a while back but I would be surprised if it ever happens (Dear, Paul. Please hand Em one of Connor's mixtapes).

Shady Records definitely has potential to be a modern Def Jam when Eminem's sober mind is in charge.
