Moby's feud with Em is over

Postby Sla » Jun 2nd, '11, 22:17

New York-born DJ and musician Moby says he hopes his long-running feud with popular rap artist Eminem is at an end.

The pair clashed in the early 2000s over perceived misogynistic and violent lyrics in the rapper's songs.

But Moby, who has just released a new album entitled Destroyed, told BBC Radio 5 live: "I think at this point I'm so far below Eminem's radar."

"Eminem is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet," Moby explained to Richard Bacon. "I'm just a weird bald guy who makes records in my bedroom."

Yeah.. and probably intentional cause Eminem hates being called a Pop star.

In respects to what he said:

1. I was 10 when I was continuously playing The Marshall Mathers LP and I totally understood when he was in character. You don't need to be a sophisticated 10 year old, I understood it from his tone, from his laughing / sound-effects and overall execution. It's so obvious.

2. I didn't therefore think 'violence towards women is okay'. As it isn't. Unless a fucking slut deserves a good beating, in which case, give that bitch another black eye from me ;)

3. If some of the 10 year olds didn't / don't understand what he's doing fully then I doubt they'd understand the references or what he's actually executing in terms of violence either, which would mean they're just hearing tone and anger. And it may as well be aimless, therefore they're not going to specifically understand 'violence at woman' and therefore think it's validated.

4. Even IF some 10 years olds did therefore grow up thinking that (which, as Em said back in 2001 'them kids were stupid to begin with' as, if a record is going to influence a person that easily, they're mentally ill anyway) - that doesn't mean the solution is to stop making art which could possibly be interpreted in that way or influence certain minds....

Because if it does, where the fuck does it end. Logic and rationality are the key to a healthy mind - teaching kids about literature and being open and honest about what say, Eminem is doing is the correct way of dealing with any confusion. The solution is not to try and hide it from them, Moby is a fucking retard for thinking like that. And so is anybody that does think like that.

You can't go around altering all music, movies, imagery / art for the sake of easily influenced, mentally unstable or abnormally confused individuals. What absolute fucking madness. Paranoid, irrational, a non-solution to a problem that doesn't really exist and...

I mean, for one thing you'd need to prove that music or that kind of music even does what he's saying it does. Where's the evidence for this... he's just 'assuming' that's the cause or that it's making 10 year olds think X lmao. Which, is an absolutely idiotic assumption for any semi-intelligent human to make, even by Moby's standards. And I don't truly know how intelligent he is but from that alone he's right down in the lower ranks in my books.

Censorship is absurd, and Moby's a turd.

Good thing you explained this on an Eminem forum, where everyone has the exact same viewpoints. We definitely needed a thesis on this in case anyone wandered over from TRMoby.com.....

Good thing you, a maker of spurious threads were at hand to quote me and make a cocky comment about my post because you have sand in your vagina over my 50 Cent post(s), whilst adding nothing yourself and just creating more of a childish, bitchy back-n-forth atmosphere on the forum.

Yes. I made a thread about his tattoos. I'm really interested in them (tattoos in general, not Em's) and Em's are pretty sweet, so I was wondering if he had any new ones. OOoOOOOoOOOoHHH :o

And WTF, you're delusional haha. You're another moron who just wants to be hated. IDGAF about your 50 Cent posts hombre, I din't read any of them after my one response to you, which was the epitome of sand-in-the-vaginaitis, as it said:
-He wasn't bad on CAB
-When combined with Dre production, he's fire. That's why he fell off after GRODT (whick I stand by as an amazing album), Dre stopped producing for him.

Gee wilikers, I was pissed! Man, I must have some sick vendetta for you now! Lawd lawd lawd.....

No, you're deluded. Why would I 'want to be hated' you retard. Like I could be fucking assed with that lmao. I just make honest posts in threads that catch my eye, I never go out of my way to be anything. I never pick on people, start pointless arguments (like you do, here), make cocky little remarks etc. you've just described yourself. You want to be hated.

You're a phony.

I don't care if I'm hated or liked here, as, I don't know or particularly respect anybody here. As in, automatically. I see people as individuals, if I like and respect somebody - I'd like them to like and respect me. But I'm not sat here constructing some fucking character to 'come across' in a certain way on an Eminem fan forum, to a bunch of people I've never met  . And I'm deluded? .

FreeSpeech wrote:EminemBase essay no one will read/care about in 3.....2.......1...................

Wow, how original. Calling my posts 'essays' and 'thesis''. That hasn't been done 10,000 times :coffee: for somebody who clearly thinks of himself as witty, you don't seem to pride yourself on innovation. I mean... calling my posts essays or saying nobody cares about them  it's not even the slightest bit insulting.

Like I could fucking care less again, about... a bunch of teenage Eminem fans liking or reading my posts. Or if people think they're long and boring. I write them for me, I'm just expressing my opinion at the time and I happen to know there's some like-minded people here who usually do enjoy my posts and I their's.

But man, you're not only lacking in wit but are terrible at insults. Again, my post length? seriously. Get a grip. If you dislike me or my posts - why even take notice? clearly I've struck a nerve and it's only been since the 50 thread you took a shine to me so do me a favour, take your cock out of my ass and simply ignore my 'essays' if they strain your very limited brain too much.

And I'll GLADLY ignore your dribbled droplets of... posts and attempted 'character' too.

Actually, I'm glad the length irritates your vag. As, I'm certainly not going to alter how much I write. I write randomly and how I feel at the time, and that isn't going to change. So, good luck scrolling past my posts, you're gonna need it :b:

I will now always picture you as this guy whenever you make a post.
I don't care if I'm hated or liked here

I'd like them to like and respect me.

:coffee:
I write them for me

Admittedly, you probably write them subliminally, for me.
clearly I've struck a nerve and it's only been since the 50 thread you took a shine to me
Haha I didn't even argue with you in that thread at all. Or this one really. Me responding to 2 of your posts out of hundreds has no correlation whatsoever.
take your cock out of my ass

Pretty sure that's not the metaphor you wanted to use there :facepalm
And I'll GLADLY ignore your dribbled droplets of... posts and attempted 'character' too.
Ignore me with another essay, DO IT.
I write randomly

(oh, and I did want to use that metaphor. You can use that same metaphor in different ways. In that instance it was simply to imply you're a faggot / queer and that you're secretly in love with me and want to fuck me. So, totally works.

I know you think it was a misstep because usually put guys their cock in people's asses, as a metaphor - to dominate. But no, just a different context. :b: )
