I totally agree it sounds like he is going to stay with his current style for his next album which is alright but I would rather see him change it to another style...or go back to the accents for one final album with them (but this would never happen :( )

Anyway... his next album should be called Restart and the concept should be him starting his career all over again and explain what he would've done different throughout the album in subtle ways of course. He can also let us know about things that he did back then and he is now ashamed of or regrets doing. Anything along those lines could make for an epic album. Of course, not just straight up telling us "this, this and that", he can be creative with this concepts. It would be even better if this album was his best ever :flutter:

If his next album is called Restard, I would fucking die.

Miller1121 wrote:... will be similar in rapping style to his most recent stuff and Recovery. We all know that Eminem always changes his style from album to album. Recovery came out only a year after Relapse and he raps like a totally different rapper.

However, ALL of his songs that have come out since the end of 2009 have been the same style (they dont sound the same but you can tell its his new stuff). His albums have always had a specific purpose except maybe Encore. SSLP was to get himself into the game, MMLP was to react on all the negativity that he received from it, TES was to touch on a bunch of different parts of his life (among other things), Relapse was to get himself back on top and prove he was still a lyrical monster, and Recovery to put himself back on top of the entertainment world.

So... what has happened since Recovery to bring out a new album? He's talked about almost everything there is to talk about (there is some stuff that happened when he was gone that I would like him to touch on though) and he can only make so many songs about about his kids and being back in the game. He spent all this time trying to prove that he was the best rapper of all time.
He's been to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Now that he is the happiest he's ever been (or so he says) there is only one thing left for him to do.

He's just gonna have fun with his music now. That's what he's been doing lately, and I think that's all he's gonna do from here on out, unless something major happens to change this. Maybe he thinks just spittin random punchlines and shouting at the top of his lungs is fun. He made a ton of songs with Royce just cause it was fun to do. He said it didnt feel like work at all. Sure his next album will have personal subjects and cool concepts, every album he ever does will, but I also think that it will have a bunch of stuff that we've heard recently without to much of a change. What else is there to do that he's never done before?

I hope Im wrong though. I love his current style, but I dont think I want another 17 or so songs with it. I hope his new album is totally different than anything he's ever done.

I also hope you're wrong but somehow doubt it :( . Em still has the capacity to make a huge creative adjustment and really give the fans something memorable, relevant and classic. To rap about something bigger than himself. To make music that can transcend generations without being stuck on disposable moments in this one.

If Em wants to deliver another classic (that will also be seen as such by critics, the hip-hop community and fans) he has to touch on his songwriting. The scene has been perfectly set for Em to write songs about environmental factors, to get his lyrical content in tune with the thoughts of millions of people (instead of rehashing jokes in his head), to create art that touches on real feelings, thoughts and frustrations; to do it with sophistication, maturity and wit. Lets face it, he's already battled his way to the top after his comeback, but he has a huge opportunity now to define himself even further within an even larger group of spectators, or just fall back on his laurels consolidate his fanbase and use the same tricks that worked for him throughout his career.

The scene has been set for Em, imo. He's either going to give us a different variation of the same tune or he has to go in and start writing like his life depended on it all over again, and maybe he can amaze us all again.

Sadly, if he releases an album in the next year or two (which most people, if not all, on this forum want)... you are right.

Just wish Eminem would finish off with the Shady 2.0 projects and Detox and then take some time off. The way he's been functioning recently is more robotic than ever with an emphasis on structure, schedule and expectation. I feel like he could make a better, more creative album if he took time off from recording and writing and connect with the world outside of music. Do a world tour or something.

A 3year break isn't that bad. It actually seems like a standard time period to cool off, relax rest, and slowly build the next album

He needs a break, or else he might relapse :shifty:

honestly i want a very personally dark song about his drug problem written with Relapse style writing and The Eminem Show flow/voice. "Deja Vu" was kinda casual, just explaining some things mostly. even in interviews he's just been like "yea it was bad and now it's good."

i want something where he talks about fiending for the drugs. what it's like to always want them, to depend on them. then the last verse (a two verse song) talking about his rehab. the difficulties with desiring his demons that he can't have. feeling like you're going ballistic without them.

would be a great song, to me.
