Game: “‘My Name Is’ was it. If you didn’t know what his name was, he fucking told you. I had no idea at that time that was Dr. Dre’s artist. I just saw this white boy on MTV. I didn’t know what Aftermath was to be able to relate it to anything that Dre was doing.

“I remember thinking, ‘Damn, he’s really a white rapper.’ It was so crazy and the song was so dope. It was in a format that I had never heard. I had never heard anybody talk about their mom and pulling their eyelids out.”

I'm not quite sure if I'm an "idiot" because you disagree with the factuality of my statement of just with what I had to say. If its the latter, you're hating on my opinion & that's stupid..

Eminem on "My Name Is" - you can Google it if you want verification or whatever -

Fans looking for bubblegum rap aren’t going to get it here." & in Rolling Stone Mag July 2002 : "I listen to my older shit, and I can't stand it, because I fell behind the beat too much. Like "My Name Is" -- I fucking hate that song anyways."

And its obvious that it was made to be radio-friendly i.e a "single" type of song & you've agreed to that in the past - [ http://j.mp/qx1LPn ]. Eminem's said "My Name Is was like my introduction to the world. It is the kind of record that promotes the album before it comes out & gets it up to where it needs to be...for me to establish my following throughout the world. The single blew up, people heard it and bought the rest of the album.."

You've also agreed to ***** saying that Em wrote the song in 15 minutes, which is again untrue. Eminem & Dre made 4 tracks in 6 hours the first time in the studio, of which My Name Is was one. He thought of the hook on the spot, but Eminem says in his autobiographical book The Way I Am, that he "stayed up the whole night writing the verses to My Name Is & then came the next day and recorded." So you clearly haven't read that shit or you just like popping your mouth off whenever... & he "propaply" wasn't high also.. the first time he did drugs was the day he recorded "Rock Bottom"...

Not many can fuck me in the Eminem facts & info department...just saying..

Appreciate Amaranthine for backing me up.. Eminem has said "After I heard "My Name Is" a few times, it had become cheesy to me. After listening to "The Real Slim Shady" five or six times, it became cheesy, too."

Eminem has said in The Way I Am, that he feels his voice was "squeaky" on The SSLP, especially on "My Name Is" & that he doesn't like that nasal voice.
