Did Skylar Grey copy the 'Not Afraid' video?

Uhm, so I found this on tumblr and it looks quite interesting... Seems like Skylar Grey got a little too inspired by Em's 'Not Afraid' video for her own 'Invisible' video. It's like, girly version of Not Afraid. What do you think?




Wonder what Em thinks about this. I think we will find out after the Australian concert. If he's mad, we might not see them hugging like that:

Skylar Grey is an Interscope artist & one heavily affiliated to EM's & Dre's camps so they just imply on this 'cuz the concepts & all the rest in the vid are totally different. It is not just 'Not Afraid' too, there's a Beats By Dre commercial as usual & later on in the vid she sets herself on fire which looks just like EM in 'LTWYL' vid & that comes naturally 'cuz she wrote the original version of 'LTWYL' from which EM took the chorus for his version. She didn't just gave EM one of his biggest hits, but gave Dre one too so an Interscope push is due & more than deserved. It is just label politics, nothing new & above all it's love giving, not disrepect.

It is homage indeed. They just took ideas out of EM videos but it wasn't meant to copy them, they just implied about stuff on purpose.
Check the video out & you'll see in general it has totally different concept overall. Check the original version of 'LTWYL' too & I bet you'll kinda think Rihanna sounds a little lame on the 'Recovery' version after that 'cuz Skylar's one is way more powerful.
Like I said, it's nothing new, just label politics... I think they call that 'closed circle'.

Maybe she's trying to capitalize off her Eminem association. She's mostly known for her work with him. Or maybe it's just a lack of originality which is common these days.
