Eminem and D12

Postby popsomphills » Nov 2nd, '11, 05:14

I know they have done a couple songs since his comeback, but is Eminem kind of over D12? I thought I heard a while back they were gonna drop an album next year, is there any word on that? I've personally never been the biggest fan of D12, Devil's Night was sick, but I only listened to it because of eminem.

I definitely don't think he's "over" D12. He's mentioned that he's working on that album with them in most of his BME interviews, and they are also his best friends, it wasn't like he was close with Proof and fuck the rest of them. I think part of the reason that it's taking so long is that they don't have Proof anymore though. Mr. Porter went on this wild rant on Twitter awhile ago about fans being insensitive to how hard it is for them to keep D12 alive without Proof, when Proof was their glue.

As for word on the album, they've been saying that it's coming soon, but that's pretty much all we've heard about it.

They were never great. When you really think about it... their peak is their first album yes? Devils Night. And this is because it was nearing Em's peak.

The only thing that made the album great was Eminem. The production, the hooks, his outstanding verses, probably a lot of the core ideas and tones...

Other individual contributions are average. Everybody bar Bizarre can spit and is a good MC, and when they're on-point, pretty decent MCs. But they're so one-dimensional and can't do much else but rap about over the top violence and jokey gore subjects. So repetitive.

I want one more D12 album just to hear Em in a new context with them again but no doubt Bizarre will ruin the fucking thing again.

Why would you of wanted a album in late 2006 when Eminem was at his worse?
