Em's delivery

on this track was so awesome. :worship:

And, I'm not knocking his new delivery, because....it evolves, it changes. Somebody might enjoy his present day ones instead.

Do you think we will ever get another Em song when his delivery is....like this? What I mean is, here it seems like he's in charge, it feels like HE'S commanding the beat instead of the beat commanding him. He comes in with his first verse, and shit just sounds beautiful to your ears.

"to do war, and try to bring my crew back down
I'll never stoop, to that level, to do that now
I got a new cat, this time I'm pullin two gats out
With bullets, I finally got somethin to shoot at now"

The way he's saying that shit..."crew back down!" I can't find the words to describe it. It actually sounds GOOD to your ears. If you want to understand what I mean, just compare it to Xzibit right after that. X does his thing too, but his delivery isn't as appealing.

So, you think Em will ever again just spit in a traditional kind of flow again, where his verse doesn't sound like...one big run on?

Square Dance, Say My Name, etc.

I look forward to hearing some shit like that in his new album, if he does make another.
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

Amadeo wrote:This was, surprisingly, a good delivery. Sounds like his 2002 voice...and wasn't this in the 2003 gangsta era?

This song was in 2002 and even if this was in 2003 why is it surprising that his deliverys good?
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

I'm embarrassed to say this but I hadn't heard this song before today.. :sweating: Can't believe Em copied Nas' flow from Ether - pretty daring I'd say... but the delivery & performance is what you'd expect from the 2002 Eminem - faultless & dope :worship:

The song is from Xzibit's 2002 album "Man Vs. Machine" & its official title is "My Name", produced by Em.
They say the good die young... Proof, YOU'RE NEVER OVER.

Bully, Nail In The Coffin, We All Die One Day, Bump Heads, Hail Mary and Go To Sleep. No decline in 2003.

yeah i always wonder about his delivery. he can obviously still rhyme the only reason his shit is just mediocre recently is because his flow/delivery is different. it's cool cuz he always switches up his flow/delivery every couple years but i wish he would revisit the ones that were good such as sslp/mmlp/tes (this song) style. it did seem like reunion/cypher/a kiss were more like his normal style though so hopefully he reverts back to his better styles
