rhyme schemes @ hellbound and lose yourself

Postby StanBase » Jan 18th, '12, 15:41

we're having this project in school, the course is "norwegian", and i'm going to talk about eminem's rhymes. i've been thinking for awhile, and I think i'm gonna show them the verse of hellbound + first verse of LY.
http://loseyourselflyrics.blogspot.com/ <- this page has a kinda complete colouring/whatever of the song

the thing is, I'm not 100% sure, about the songs, feel free to give me suggestions to other songs, i'm looking for songs with long multis, or songs who have a lot of different rhymes in it, like SWA.

I also don't find too much lyrics where the rhymes are marked out, like in Menzo and Innovasion's thread.
so... anyone who have outlined the rhymes of renegade, hellbound, or any other songs?

Till I Collapse would be an excellent choice.

Those are good choice.

Don't choice a song based on the quantity of rhyming alone. Quality > Quantity. Stay Wide Awake, while a good song, has some forcing.

I doubt that they'll be impressived forced rhymes like

She's naked, see, no privacy but I can see she wants me
So patient, see, I try to be but Gee why does she taunt me

Or Satan, gee what a sight to see, I'm dancing in my red panties

If you want both quality and quantity, I say go with what Menzo's choices.

Here are some other good ones:

Brain Damage
Till I Collapse
1st verse of Amityville

The rhymes on those song are more impressive than Stay Wide Awake's.

Lose Yourself is a good choice, but be careful about it BECAUSE it's already been analyzed several times. I don't know your teacher, but if you use Lose Yourself there's a chance he/she'll say that you copied your analysis from the internet.

I agree with Geno. Use Renegade. If you don't want to use a feature, do Sing For the Moment.

Menzo wrote:Keep in mind guys, if he's doing this for school, songs like "Buffalo Bill" or "Stay Wide Awake" might not be welcomed by his teacher. But then again, who the fuck knows. I've always wanted a project where I could write about the rhyme schemes of people like Em, Nas, Tech and Jay (those 4 specifically). I'd go to fuckin town on it.

I was hoping for some grotesque, provocative lyrics, so the class wont fall asleep.
It is not likely that they will be too interrested in this :zipped:

I hear you :) . But your teacher certainly knows how to use a computer and Lose Yourself is an example for a frequently analyzed Eminem song (I just don't want to get you in trouble with your teacher :flower: ). At least, a more often analyzed than other songs that are suggested here.
