I always loved recovery and relapse was good, but I did like it for what it was.

Great OP, I agree with the state of eminem now, curious why there was no mention of BME since that has happened in the relapse/recovery until now era. Nonetheless, good post and welcome!

Don't forget The Warning, that dropped before Forever I believe, that was the moment for me that I thought "Damn, em is back!"

Great first post, welcome to TR :smoking:

When recovery first came out I only really liked dejaview and beautiful, but it grew on my fast and soon found myself listening to the album front to cover almost everyday. I had totally forgot about eminem TBH, and I relapsed basically made me relapse and rediscover his old music. Recovery was a great time period and most of the lyrical content is sick, songs like seduction, wtp, gtc, not afraid, cwb, 25tol, space bound, untitled, and yno are my absolute favs, but every song i like included wbd. i thought it was well produced and i didnt mind most of the metaphors some were great ( yall are eminems backwards your minimes) and bme was classic imo at the time. fav song was above the law

The way you put it, it actually sounds like that was EXACTLY Em's intention with the song...lol. To put everything all the fans bitch about into one verse would be like a big fuck you.

If this is true then he's probably laughing at the Fansdown Movement.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

It's been like that for a while with Eminem's albums. I started to appreciate Relapse more when Recovery released, and in turn, I'll probably enjoy Recovery more once his next album drops (hopehully late this year).

Since I don't hop on bandwagons, I'm going to have to say that this is a horrible post. Very poorly thought out and extremely unoriginal.

Relapse starting gaining appreciation cause we got the joke. It stopped being looked at like the best he could do, and started being looked at like the lyrical experiment it was.

That hit the nail on the head. I've always said that Relapse is a masterpiece lyrically, and I never felt that the voice was as annoying as people made it sound. Good Job bro. Welcome to TR
