Open Mic = unintentional birth of Slim Shady

So i have been listening Open Mic a lot recently and I have to admit listening to the first verse, there is a lot of Slim Shady in it that sounds like it could be from the SSLP

basically this is a rap battle verse but it has a lot of Slim Shady in it. talking about not giving a fuck, jason masks, slashing backs with knifes.

so what do you guys thinks and do you think Em realized afterwards looks back at this track that Slim Shady was all over it?

It's possible that Em' had this whole concept a lot earlier too.
Some of his old tapes had elements of extreme violence and such.
Nobody really took it to that level of extreme lyricism.
If someone did, I didn't know.

Nah that's the rebirth of Slim. He was born when Marshall was a kid, then Marshall killed him by hanging himself from the top bunk with a belt...or some other way depending on which version of My Name Is you listen to.

My Name Is was made after LDD, though.

Agreed. I think there was a thread on this in chit-chat, but it's an early sign of Em adding accents to his rap, something that would become a staple of his music, especially during Relapse era.

the rhyming is, its not extreme like lyrics on the mmlp or sslp, but his rhyming is def slim shady

As mdemaz said, I'm pretty sure Em had very violent verses, like Shady-like verses before Infinite. Eminem and his associates have said that Infinite was intentionally toned down, for radio play.
