Why does Eminem get so much hate?

IMO, Relapse was really good, if you just listen to the whole album ONCE, you won't like it. If you listen to it again, and again, you'll start to like it more and more. Relapse is a classic, better than any other rap album that was released in 2009, it was a "The Marshall Mathers LP" with an accent, he did NOT sell-out or anything, it was straight raw hip hop. Relapse only got hate for the accent, no one actually looked at the lyrics. It took a while before people started to think "OMG, this is a good album".

But when Recovery was released, he became automatically a whack rapper? He sold-out? He's whack? That's bullshit. He made one, JUST ONE album that is a little more "newschoolish" for teens and it got shitloads of hate, saying he fell off. But the new fans are annoying though, I agree with that. Not afraid got hate too. Not afraid is like a newer version of The Way I am. Everyone was crying and saying " OH HE'S SCREAMIN' ON EVERY TRACK, I MISS THE OLD SLIM SHADY".

He did what you guys wanted him to do, he released Hell: The Sequel, it only had one song that was a little more mainstream. And it was Lighters, only one song. Every other track sounds like they could've been released in the 90's. Now Hell: The Sequel get's hate because of one song? And some people say that Hell: The Sequel wasn't shady. Almost every track was a Shady track, he just doesn't have the high pitched voice that he used to have.

This is like the reason why Eminem hates his fans, he does what you guys want him to do, and when he does it, he gets hate. If I had fans like you, I would kill myself, lol.

The whole Slim Shady debate is the dumbest thing to ever come across hip hop. Some say Slim Shady was on Relapse, others say he was only on his first two studio albums, others say that he is just an alter-ego and nothing more.

You have a really crappy opinion by the way: "Not afraid is like a newer version of The Way I am." Um, no it is not? "Not Afraid" is Eminem just rapping over a crappy beat, saying over and over again how he is done with the hard pills. "The Way I Am" is Eminem rapping over a haunting beat, complaining about how stupid his critics are.

Eminem does not care what his fans think, otherwise Relapse would have never existed. Recovery would have been filled with poppy beats and shitty songs - oh wait.

Relapse did not have anywhere near the passion or meaningful lyrics that the marshall mathers lp had. The two albums dont even belong in the same sentence as one another. yeah And Not Afraid is definitely NOT the Way I Am. Not saying they aren't any good. Some people just find it hard to accept that he isnt going to live up to the rapper he once was so that can translate into hating. You seem to go the other way with that and try to credit his new stuff like it is living up to old em which it doesnt really come close to doing. Not hating just being real.

I don't think he is very hated at all. Obviously some people hate him, like any public figure, but taking all things into account, it's incredible how little hate he gets imo. And I think he's more liked by the general public at the moment than ever, even though his actual music might not be as good. He really got a lot of hate from some sections of society during his first few album campaigns, and that type of hate was hardly there during the Recovery campaign.

In terms of hip hop fans, a lot of them think he's overrated, but most of those people don't actually hate him.

If you have to listen to an album multiple times for you to really like it, then that says a lot about the album itself.

People 'hated' on it for embarrassing punchlines(fillet smoking weed, monopoly board, haters drop dead like bees, etc), wack beat selection, not just the annoying yelling delivery on some tracks. You seem to dismiss the "screaming" complaint as unnecessary bitching, but I fail to see how it is. If someone thinks the delivery is bad, why can't they complain about it? And Not Afraid is far from being the new "The Way I Am", as I see it, they're exact opposites. On one he's talking about fans alienating him & pressure from Interscope to release hits. While on the other he's sucking up to Stanelys who didn't like his last album.

H:TS doesn't get hate from "one song", son. Where the fuck have you been? It's "hated" on for it's overuse of shit/diarrhea/dick/ fast food & retail stores references (check SL, that's the main complaint) and Em flowingliket his. Also, every song except Lighters sounds like it's from the 90s? C'mon son, just because it has "shady" content doesn't means it's equal to the wit of SSLP material.

For the record, H:TS didn't have diarrhea or retail stores. Maybe like one or two fast food references. And a few dick lines (most of them were in context, like women sucking on his dick).
