Is it do with how a song like that from Eminem tends to get over played on Radio and TV where as a Drar Mama type track from 2pac was like an Album gem that wasn't over played so popular in the same sense as lets say Rock Bottom



I use Eminem as an example but Kid Cudi, Joe Budden are others who make that kinda Music that also by a minority get thrown under the 'emo' 'soft' 'whining' bus many others too aside from them but 2pac from what i can remember never did

I was born way before 1991 was a teen in 1996 during his peak i dont remember anyone ever saying 2pac was Emo or soft or whinny for his tracks like Dear Mama

Don't get me wrong majority love these tracks from Eminem even if they don't particularly like that style most appreciate the message, emotion and realness of the tracks but even on this board look at what some say.

hey man, I think one thing that fans always fail to understand is that, unfortunately Eminem, being the artist that he is and has always been he has become more of a Trend than an actual artist. (Speaking of course on a 100% generalized view) Remember that the majority of people are very easily influenced. So when it becomes "cool" or "wrong" to hate eminem or tupac, thats whats gonna happen, without actually analysing how their music works or is expressed, and thats the universal truth.

Let me give you an example. This tupac hologram is trendy now... people love it at first, I know I do, and probably you do too... but give it a year, or even less... people are going to start changing their views.

This only applies to fully mainstream artists like Eminem and Tupac btw
