Hypothesis about Em's next album

Postby meni-me » Sep 13th, '12, 01:00

I believe that Eminem's next album will be his best solo album since TES. I think this because I have likened his, since 2009, past albums to his pre-overdose record tract. Relapse, like Infinite, was extremely lyrical. However, relapse, like Infinite, did not sell as well, due to people being put off about his messages, lack of relation.

Recovery, I liken to the slim shady ep. Mainly due to his saying of this in almost famous. In fact, this song, along with Oh no, are what had me come up with this.

This sequence suggests, to me, that his next solo album will be like the SSLP, in so far as its controversial possibilities and shock value.

Discuss.

I dunno........

Pretty Sure when I drew similarities, it was through, oh yeah, eminem's lyrics. What's more, hctw, has high Slim Shady Quality lyrics, so yeah next solo like SSLP.

Don't you know we all hate Eminem here? He'll flop with all those dick references. TBH, he never brought any heat to a track in his life, and now his career is in his trash can with Relapse.

SSLP and Recovery are polar opposites of each other.

I'm pretty sure Em once said that he couldn't top his own name... SSLP will go down in history as probably the GOATest album that ever existed.

So put two and two together and you have 'his next album will not be anywhere close to SSLP.'

I have higher hopes of a classic album because of that new verse he spit ( :worship: ) but he can't go SSLP... or Last Hit. No one can. Ever.

Dude, just because he had vulgar lyrics in HCTW doesn't make it similar to SSLP. I highly doubt he will release anything similar to SSLP anytime soon.

I don't think you can claim Relapse or Recovery are similar to any of his previous work. Relapse was a concept album and Em just 'spazzing out' with that dark, murderous character. I don't think he thought too much about its impact or what it would achieve, which is partially why I like it.

Recovery put him back on top and cemented his place as arguably the worlds biggest rapper. He came out with a huge hit and he sounded hungry. And the world loved it. Which was what he wanted and what he needed.

I think he's spent the last 2 year experimenting with flows, delivery, rhyme patterns and his next album will be a real statement of intent. He seems as focused on rhyme schemes as he has ever been. If his delivery and flow come together with the rhymes (like it did at times on HCTW), and if he gets Dre, himself, or cherry picks the best hip-hop producers in the game to make the beats...It could be brilliant.

It's taken him some time to adapt to being sober but now I think he's getting the rewards of the focus that allows. I feel like something ground-breaking could be on the horizon, I really do.

Im hoping his next album is darker than recovery but i dont want serial killer shit like on relapse. I rather it be anger about real things like mmlp. Relapse could been good but it was just fucken pointless no meaning no soul which for eminem albums.

This tbh. There's nothing to discuss here..
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.
