He just has a dark tormented persona. No touch of sarcasm/satire/irony/humor to it.

Slick Rick has a little influence I believe.

C'mon guys. 1998-2001 Eminem was all thanks to Outsidaz. They introduced him their dark style and he ran with it.

It's probably his own personality coming across. It's the main reason he's become so successful. Probably most rappers are funny guys but not many put it across in their songs. Add clever lyrics, rhymes, unique delivery, Dr Dre and being white but credible and you've got it nailed.

Slick Rick.

Slick Rick is partly British and has more sarcasm and dark humour, I can hear some of it from there; also, Redman does have black comedy in his lyrics...

Aside from that, Em himself is sarcastic and it's just his own personal grasp of irony and sense of humour on top of it. As aside from influence, a lot of it comes from him too.

They didn't give Eminem his sense of humour lmao. You can't magically infuse somebody with a genius sense of wit through suggesting it... they may have influenced the way he chose to present it, but that wit is from Eminem's mind, it's him.
