Mac Miller Talks About Meeting Em

Last month, Mac Miller had a chance to meet Eminem backstage at Em’s concert in Japan.

During a recent interview by Hot 97′s Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg on their Juan Epstein podcast, the Blue Slide Park rapper remembered the meeting.

“To be real, that was, like, the only time I’ve ever been low-key,” Miller said. “I was really smiley. I was like, ‘Woah, that’s Eminem,’ you know? He’s mad famous. I had a cast on at the time, if you didn’t know, I broke my hand, which is why I have a cosmetic deficiency in my knuckles for the rest of my life. So I was wearing my cast, and Em comes out, and he was super funny. He walks out and he’s like, so, what happened to your hand?’ And I was like ‘I broke it, I punched a door.’ And he was like, “That’s pretty fucking sweet.” [Laughs] And then we chopped it up for a little bit.”

With these kinds of rappers, they just think they're that good. So it's rarely a real struggle because they lack the intelligence level required to ever actually examine themselves in relation to the truly gifted. So they walk around with this false sense of domination that for some reason ends up working out in hiphop more often than I think it should.

I dont get why people throw so much negative energy at music they dont like, its alot easier to just turn it off then whine about it.
