Come on guys it was literally a 20 second verse and what was everyone expecting him to rap about on that song? I mean the song itself had basically no content overall, how was he supposed to craft an amazing verse. Plus his voice and flow were on point. Litterally HALF of the verse is PURE SHIT and nonsense, the other half has a good flow and his delivery is good but the content is honestly ugh. Trying to be funny. He WAS funny in HCTW, here, it was a failed attempt at making a good verse.

I agree, but of course since we're starved of Em content it makes the verse stand out much more. If Em was putting out verses every week or something this wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is.

Before the leak we couldn't hear the butt-police/rear-rear part of that. From initial listening, it sounded like he was going to have a smooth beginning to a witty verse.

I don't think people are overreacting about Numb at all. Yes, it is a feature, but so what? If I get asked to do a small piece of art-work for someone, peripheral to my main body of work, I'm not going to do it in 10 minutes and give them a pile of wank.
I'm struggling to name a feature, pre-Encore, that left me as bewildered as this one here. And we know that Em was spilling out those features in the SSLP/MMLP days like there was no tomorrow. The quality then was still good.

If Em really wants respect, he has to start thinking about releasing some material which doesn't overshadow his current career. I really can't see how such a shitty verse is acceptable. Some of the TR attempts at a verse were better than his!

Once again, this is an overreaction. I don't understand why people talk as if Em hasn't had shitty collabs before. Warrior Part 2, Em had THE worst verse in the ENTIRE SONG. Flow, lyrics, everything. His tone was forced too. And at least the Numb verse was no "Hello Good Morning". Not a single mention of Big Bufords, Tostitos, Doritos, Feed Hoes, McDonalds, A&W's fantastic hot dogs. Everybody's so bitchy about the "rear rear rear" part. It's one fucking line, at least. Look at this shit:
