Let's Talk About Public Enemy #1

Postby Fa-Q » Dec 18th, '12, 06:50

I'm not going to lie, the whole Illuminati connection to any artist gets old. Especially when it's the same artists ie Jay-Z, Beyonce, Led Zepplin etc... But Public Enemy #1 seems very fishy and Eminem was at a very vulnerable time. If this was recorded specifically for The Re-Up, this would be anytime between '05-early '06. He could have been extra paranoid but it seems like he's trying to predict his death. I guarantee this song would get a lot more attention than it does if he would have died on that overdose. Here's just some examples.

I sense someones tapping into my phones why do
I got this feeling in my bones I might die soon

(A lot of artists that feel they may be an expendable target for the Illuminati talk like this including: Michael Jackson and Tupac.)

The F.B.I might be tryin to pull my file soon
I might be walking blind fold into a typhoon
I might be seeing rockets light up the night sky
Right outside of the window of my living room
And if they do you can say goodnight and bye bye to them itunes
If I don't try to record as much before I do
The plan is to have as many in the can as I can

(I believe this was Tupac's mentality coming out of Prison knowing he may be a target)

As I stand before you in this booth a walking deadman
Blank stare dead pan look as my face as I gaze into space
As I wait to be scooped up in that van
Mysteriously disappear into thin air
And they gon' say a sniper just appeared out of no where
And I'll go down in the history as the blood sucking leech
Who hid behind the freedom of speech
Tryed to take the fifth amendment use it, twist it and bend it
And ended up dying to fill out in the heros splinters
The business way to end this I can feel the tremors tremendous

(here's where it gets crazy)

In remembrance of september 11
Flash back to september 7th
When Tupac was murdered in Vegas
He said that he predicted his own death
Let us never forget it or should we ever live to regret it
Like the day John F Kennedy was assasinated in broad day
By a craze lunatic with a gun
Who just happened to work on the same block in a library book depository
Where the President would go for a little friday stroll
Shots fired from the grassy knoll
But they don't know or do they?

(These are all considered Illuminati significant events. Tupac, Kennedy and Sept. 11)

Whos they for them to say Touch©
Where all vunerable and it's spooky
This is about as cookey as I've ever felt now
Count down to Nuclear Meltdown
7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
You can run you can do what you want to
But you know you aint gonna do nuttin
When its time its your time
You are the prime target
You have become Public Enemy Number 1

If the illuminati does in fact exist today, I don't see why they would've been responsible for Tupac's death. He said himself he didn't believe in them. They would've wanted him dead if he said the opposite since the 'nati want people to think they don't exist.

First time hearing this song, pretty spooky.

BUT, I'm pretty sure Em was just paranoid from all the drugs he was taking at the time and of course the possibility that someone could have shot him at any given moment. I remember reading Jay-Z saying that when he hugged Em once, it felt like he had a bulletproof vest on.

Em was investigated by the Secret Service for 'threatening the President' (Bush) by what he said on "We As Americans" ("I don't rap for dead presidents... I'd rather see the president dead")...

That song came out 2004 but late 2004 and so they probably wouldn't have investigated anything until 2005. When did "Public Enemy #1" come out? = 2006, but could have even been made in 05.

Quite clearly Em was talking about that and perhaps even could have been being monitored and so he sensed it. That's not Illuminati or devil nonsense, it's the Government. The known government. Checking him out because he said something that could be perceived as an incitement to kill the president.

And he was also addicted during that time, so his paranoia / imagination would have been much worse and more exaggerated than probably was his reality, so he probably was just paranoid, even though there was some truth to it, and probably wanted to try get it down on record in case anything did happen.

EmBase "We as Americans" leaked in 2003 if you remember. and that was the actual uncensored version. The "Encore" bonus version was late 2004 and that line was censored. I remember reading somewhere that he was under investigation in 03 for that line, but i don't know how much truth is behind it or what the source was.

For me personally the song itself just marks a time when Em was really paranoid. The factors as to why he was so paranoid could vary depending on when the song was actually recorded... But its most likely a combination of a lot of the things u guys have mentioned. Drugs are definitely a factor. I've seen the paranoia caused from drugs occur first hand in some people i know.

One of the few Em songs that don't have any cuss words in them.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

I think I heard that song when I didn't know english. Maybe I need to listen again
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Correct, but there is more. Em took little shots at the U.S Government throughout TES(Square Dance in particular) and on his Rap Game verse, then we heard We As Americans, Mosh etc. Picture this, the biggest music star in the world with tens of millions of fans in the U.S alone, who has a crazy fan base that treats his every word like the gospel starts voicing concerns about the government, what will happen? After being investigated herealized that the direction his music is taking will make him a target. Interestingly after Public Enemy #1 Em never touched politics in his music again.
