Relapse is not only one of Em's best albums but…

It's also one of the best musically. The production is top-notch, Dre really gave his all when producing.

The lyrics are so vivid, so strange and disturbing but pleasing to hear. Jesus, this album was light years ahead of its time.

All of Em's albums are fresh though.

I'm having trouble even attempting to think of something clever to say in response to that.

i still think it's his 2nd worst album just cuz it's too up and down for me
the highs are really high with SWA, Deja Vu, SS&D, Ganja, Beautiful, Hello
but the lows are just awfully low for me with WMY, Crack a Bottle, 3am, Old Times Sake, Bagpipes

album could have been a classic if those tracks werent on there and Elevator, Music Box, and Forever replaced em

My only problems with Relapse are Beautiful, for all of EminemBase's reasoning, and Crack A Bottle. I liked CaB when it released, but to have it appear on Relapse among all these amazing songs to me just...Ehhh.

You're late to the party.

I've never done that with any of his albums. I loved Relapse when it first came out. I still do.

It's not that far off from the Eminem Show in quality for me. It's an amazing album.

I actually like Crack A Bottle but I definately think it's out of place on the album. The last 6 months i've thrashed Relapse and gained a new found respect for it. Dre is a massive part of this albums feel. I actually really dislike Same Song and Dance, It definately suites the mood though.

I haven't listened to Relapse in a while, but I can definitely agree with you about the production. Everything about that album is so precisely done, from the lyricism, to the delivery, to the mixing, and down to the production of the instrumentals themselves. It's such a clean sounding album.

I think Eminem needs beats like that again, whether they're from Dre or not.

In my opinion, Relapse is easily the best Eminem album after the MMLP, in terms of lyricism and production at least.
