How likely is it that Em's single will feature a Pop artist?

Do you think we'll get a solo first single like "Not Afraid" or do you think that the label will make him collab with a huge pop artist in order to sell a lot of copies ?

i think he'll be entitled to his own, but depending on the success of that single, he may need a collab out next.

if you rely on other pop artists to stay relevant, your career is in trouble.

after the success of recovery Im sure Em has complete creative control, im sure the label hears the negatives as well as the positives so im gonna make an educated guess and say he is most likely not gonna do a pop single with lady gaga etc. who knows tho, em is always surprising the fans, shit i wouldnt mind something like taking my ball or elevator lol, basically anything solo would be ideal

Some artists have the full creative control over their own album, I'm talking about Kendrick, Schoolboy Q and the other black hippy and I'm sure Eminem has the creative control too.
If anything, Interscope gives these guys the creative control but ask you to work with pop stars after the release of their album. it's a smart marketing move tbh.

I think this sampling thing will be the first single. Unless the news got too big for Em's liking, I can't see him scrapping it. It was also never denied by Paul, to know knowledge.

Quite unlikely considering he's never done it once.

I don't think the label 'make him' do much; he's had the optimum success doing what he wants. His first three albums weren't compromised in the slightest.

You may have had them wanting him to re-create "My Name Is" which resulted in that formula, but think of "The Real Slim Shady" being thought of as a 'compromise' these days - HA.

These days, a compromise is a piece of shit beat, cliche theme and pop star hook... that song is pure hip-hop and totally him.

So they may suggest a tone or want a single but I think he does what he wants.
