"Berzerk" has had the worst kind of...

Every artist, even Em himself has said a few times... as long it does 'something' like... they want an extreme reaction either way, they want an impact... lukewarm is... nothing.

The reaction to "Berzerk" seems like the most lukewarm of any single of his career.

Everybody had something to say on all the others... but weirdly... no critic has even given a real opinion on the track; they just seem kind of "ehh... " like a lot of people who hear it...

We can all agree the hook is godly but... this is a kind of worrying sign.

Please know what you're doing Em. Fucking MMLP2... god.

Relax man, the song is great lmao. We Made You had a far worse response than this does. This is nothing. It just has a few haters but I see a lot of people loving the song too. Em sounds comfortable as hell on the song, there's a reason he named it MMLP 2...he's gonna bring us a worthy sequel. Probably not as good, but this will be his best album since The Eminem Show. No doubt in my mind at all.

What conclusions?

The single has had a lukewarm effect, with critics and fans not really knowing if they like it or not; myself included... that's a worrying sign with art/music.

Then you have the laziness of some of the "Berzerk" rapping; the contentment to just settle with retread themes and even just fuck about on the 2nd verse...

Any other single... perhaps wouldn't be such a big deal; but this MMLP2... he's trying to top/ directly sequel an absolute mind-blower of an album... THE album, so I just find it worrying that he's content to lead with such a generic theme with such lazy elements...

Then there's the production, which seems solid but over-done/messy again, like all production 2010 onwards... I'm not jumping to any conclusions; I'm saying that there's some worrying signs that he's not really inhibiting the scope of this thing... even with RapRadar saying "Survival" will be on the album too... that's really worrying. MMLP2... "Survival"... really!?

Again, if this was just another album, but, this has to be A THING not just, 'some music'...

Hopefully the track fits, doesn't detract and the rest is outstanding. I just hope.
