What is Eminem doing?

The blonde hair, chain, middle finger, he's "revisiting MMLP." What's exactly is going on in his head? To me it feels a little weird. Seeing him doing an interview with the same shirt, chain, and hair back from 2002 is strange.

Is this a creative decision? PR thing? Identity crisis? Honest opinions.

What's throwing me off is that Berzerk definitely has a new feel to it - it's something he's never done before. It also has an old school feel to it, which is why I thought he did the blonde hair just for the song. But it looks like he's seriously going back to that for real. Why go back? Most people know stuff like this usually comes off looking forced.

Lol how do you know what really is him? Especially now that he's 40-something and 'old Em' was like over a decade ago . Recovery was an honest and revealing record. And doing something because the fans want it is a bad reason to do it (and i doubt that's the reason, at least I hope). He could just be doing this for creative / conceptual reasons also.

Eminem, a guy who's been jokey all his life, isn't gonna change just because he released Recovery. Of course it was honest and revealing, he'd just come back from addictions and shit and people wanted to hear it. Those were the hit singles and he was super serious. Even when you saw him in the Recovery behind-the-scenes videos, you always see him cracking jokes or being sarcastic in some way. He's having fun. Everyone was bitching about how he was so serious, and now when he finally decides to have fun and do him, people question it. There's a reason why he doesn't fuck with social media.

The reason why he is going back to blonde is because blonde Eminem is a symbol to the "I just don't give a fuck" persona, and that's most likely what this album is going to be like.

For example, brown-haired Em is a usually thought to be a more conscious Eminem. Recovery, 8-Mile, (even though he had brown hair during the Relapse era, brown hair didn't signify it at as much as Recovery did) so if he's really trying to capture the essence of JDGAF Shady, then blonde hair is going to be at the forfront of it.
