MMLP is an album on par with the Thrillers and Illmatics and The Stankonias, none of which have a Metacritic score of less than 80.
Hence, it and the rest of Eminem's discography, are underrated

50 only means he's underrated in certain area... definitely not generally.

Em surely gets a lotta respect & is not underrated from the majority of his peers, critics, fans, etc. etc. but he still is in certain area by certain rappers/journalists in America. Artists could be severely underrated/overrated but they could be underrated/overrated just in certain areas or by a little as well.

I've heard rappers saying Em does have skills but it doesn't really matter 'cuz no Hip-Hop fan could relate to what he says... or that he's only that popular & has sold that much 'cuz he's white... or that he's pop & all that.

As a matter of fact that ''White boy'' thingy goes all over the place every time Em's mentioned as the greatest of all time... not to mention ridiculously some rappers reacted after Rap God drooped like we haven't heard pretty much everyone else saying they're the best at least once in their records.

Just reading through the comments on DX, it's clear a lot of people don't like Eminem because of his commercial appeal and the fact that white people eat his shit up. It always comes back to Race over Quality of Music. Pathetic.

Yes, TRUE hip hop fans can acknowledge Em's greatness...but do you think the average Rick Ross fan is fucking with Em? The streets (in America...I know most of you guys are overseas) don't fuck with Eminem like they do/did Jay, Nas, Pac, and Biggie. I think this is the point 50's trying to make...Which is why he mentioned that Em is more hood than most these other rappers.
